There was a beautiful service today to welcome Joe to the home of his Lord. I was privileged to have been with his family and friends to pay our last respects. Rest in Peace my friend
| |
Cranford, NJ was a very nice and quaint, with a small town feel to it. Here are some of the local scenes. |
The NYPD have new toys to patrol the US Tennis Open with. |
As Tower 7 is re-populated, our DSS Team is busy at work making connections and checking on our users. Great work guys. |
This much writing on the street doesn't give you a confident feeling that they know what they are doing out there. |
At JpL's funeral today, we came across a wonderful, old Presbyterian church today called St. Michaels. |
Hey LF, checkout the biker shack we came across in Cranford. |
This just in from our newest RN, KP came across these 2 filthy flies, doing the nasty in the yard ... |

Services information for Joe Lastella are available now. You can review the details at the Joe Lastella Memorial Page |

Sad news to report for my RNB/HSBC/CSC/ALLTEL/SYSTEMATICS friends.
Joe Lastella passed away
today. As I get information, I will make it available. Here's the
New Years card we received this year. This
is how I will remember Joe, smiling and surrounded by his family and friends.

Happy 16th Birthday to our beautiful Niece, NaL. We Love You !!! |
8/29/10
My beautiful God-daughter turns 16 on Monday. We had a huge party for her at home. A fun time was had by all. You're a beautiful young woman. Strong, independent, and wise. Congratulations, we love you, I Love You. I hope you like the necklace, wear it in good health. Happy Birthday !!! Nicole Sweet 16 Birthday - August 2010 |
Here are a couple of pics of me that my honey took, that came out pretty good. |
Nonny, or as I call her, Zelda. The family matriarch. Would you ever guess by looking at her that she will be 100 years old in December ?
You are an amazing woman, and an inspiration to us all
I Love You !!! ♥ Ti Amo !!! ♥
My newest PEZ - Princess Tiana from The Frog Princess |
Now I'm getting annoyed. Another spoiled little rich girl ends up dead, and instead of laying the blame on the person who climbed out on a ledge and fell to their death, they want to investigate the club she went to earlier in the night ? Can you imagine that ??? Are they trying to blame someone else for her death ? So what she used a fake ID to get into the club. It worked, she got in, did what you do in a club and went out and partied more when she left. Why can't she just be dead, another stupid mistake made by a young stupid person. Why does someone else have to be blamed for it ? |

Head over to Flickr and watch my slideshow of a bunch of My Favorite Prints taken over the last few years. Set it to full screen, sit back and enjoy |

Here's my boy FjL, on his way to college. He hitched a ride with me today |
It was nice to see my friend Johnny 5 today. He stopped by and we had one of our usual Friday lunches at the Chinese place. Just like old times. |
I spotted Scooby on the porch checking his Facebook page. |
I picked up a special nurse PEZ cell phone strap for our newest nurse KM. |
I don't know what to call this, but one of the porters at work actually shaved a bald spot on his head. Me, I'm losing my hair, and this guy, who has a full mop, decides to shave himself a bald spot... go figure. He says he wanted to be unique.... you are my friend, you are. |
My honey has been collecting beach sea and river glass. Pretty interesting pieces being discovered. She even has field agents out there picking up pieces for her. |
Here's a little history lesson over the building of mosques over the past centuries. My attitude is to let them try to build it. Either the unions will rape them over building costs, or delays. If that's not effective, it wouldn't be surprising to see it have an electrical fire while it's half built. And, for once, I actually agree with Barry, the Socialist. They have a constitutional right to build it, but would it be wise ?
I walked the Tower 7 construction, and they still tell me that people will be moving in there tonight. I'm not sure, but it would be amazing if they do. |
Our operators will have a new break area available for them. I had the wrong pic, it's much larger, open and has a few tables. This pic is of the 'copy/print' area. |
This is what has become of the old space we used to have there. |

Well, our youngest son, FjL, starts college today. He begins his first year at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. To say that time flew by is corny, but it is true. Frank has grown into a fine young man, ready for the challenges and opportunities that this new chapter of his life will present him. We are so proud of you, that it's real hard to convey in just words. We love you Frank, er FjL. We love you a lot. Congratulations, good luck and prepare to work hard. And above all, enjoy yourself. This is an important part of your life, and always remember what your mom says. Live, Love, Laugh... and checkout Central Park !!! |
My sister just had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. That don't sound good. She's doing OK, and is feeling pretty good so far. Rest up, and hope you feel better. Here's a little something I cooked up to cheer her up. |
8/25/10
There's a new Pez out for Halloween, the vampire pez. Kool. |
This video may be corny, but consider the effort, time and commitment that went into producing it. The PEZ song |
Here's a great video, sent in by TR. I want your money. I like the Nancy Pelosi line - 'we have to pass the bill, to find out what's in the bill'. brilliant. |
This guy was out front taking a 'rubbing' of the memorial tablet in front of 452. This tablet is part of the 5th avenue emergency exit. This guy then adds color or other elements to his work. |

Good article. Documented: Grounds for impeachment. We best exercise our rights, before they take them away from us. |
8/21/10
I'm having a ball with my new 'Droid.... here's a little something for my honey, as she departs for her NYC outing today. Love ya baby !!! droid. |
Here's a weird looking motorcycle/scooter I came across. What's with the 2 front tires ??? |
Local artists were showing off their work by the library. Some nice material. Here's that guitar I posted on Facebook too. |
Did my first Android OS upgrade already. Up to the latest FROYO 2.2 Piece of cake. I'm liking this so far. Droid... |
The Elusive Sail Capri stopped by the other day. Looking good in his new casual Friday outfit. |
It was so nice out, even Code Pink was out doing their thing. |
Work continues on the restoration at the Library. Here's some work being done on the flag poles. |
8/19/10
Droid has arrived !!! I'm impressed with the quick setup and internet speed. Web pages load quick and the machine seems pretty responsive so far. Only gripe is in moving my calendar and notes over. Not pretty. Not done. It has to be done anyway, as I modernize to the iCal format and standards. I would have liked to see some tools available to help. Here's a link to one of the first pics I took with the Droid. It came out real nice. |
We hosted IJ from the UK, as he visited North America. He and CC are working on a large Global project. We enjoyed a lunch together, while CC and IJ rode the Beast. |
Hey VO, thanks for taking that group pic of us. Much appreciated. GK is looking good and enjoying the sights too... |
Finally they put up a banner at the NY Public Library. The restoration works has been going on for a year already, and now the sign goes up. |
This new camera is doing a pretty good job with my macro photos. I caught these 2 spiders doing the nasty in the yard the other night. |
Got a couple of new Pez - University of North Carolina 2009 Champions and a special Phillies Phanatic Pez. |
8/17/10
Sometimes life is a bitch. Or in this case, a little old lady. AM had his vintage Model A damaged while in for some work. The old lady thought she was in drive, wasn't and careened back into the shop. Everyone's OK, AM is stressed... |
8/16/10
Congrats the the NY Giants on the first win in New Meadowlands stadium. They beat the Jersey Jets.... |
I had to do a FCO (field change order) on the poster for JpL. I added in the Big Guy, WFP and TR. It came out real nice. WiIl mail it now. |
Work is beginning on the new Malba Pier. |
The pipes are really pink, and there's a whole color code chart we need to comply with as well. |
Here's a couple of nice sunset shots near the Throgs Neck bridge, and the Ft. Totten jetty. |
I don't care what Continental thinks, there is nothing more international than the No. 7 train. Believe me. |
This guy is not making his 9am meeting. |
LF and me saw RK on our way to Times Square the other day. |
Have you ever heard of the Pop Tarts World ? Well, we got one in Manhattan. |
Went to see the 40 foot recreation of the famous VJ Day kiss in Times Square. |
I also took an upskirt shot, just to have. |
Boy is Times Square a crowded place. |
Look at the kool new tables at Bryant Park. |

Here are the pics from the Leone Family BBQ - August 2010. Thanks again to my cousin for setting things up. He does have to buy a new basketball hoop, but with that many Leone's in one place, he got off cheap. Nonny is 99 1/2 in these pics. Her big 100 year old birthday party is all planned for December. |
Our friend JpL continues to recover from his recent surgery. Things are going to be tough, but he's a tough man. Good luck, we all love you and get well soon. Here's a get well poster we are sending over to help cheer him up. |
If Barry doesn't resign soon, we should really try to impeach him, before this country is taken over. Watch this video, from the Patriot Network, that plainly lays out the issue with the Arizona immigration law battle. |
8/14/10
We had a great time at my cousins today. Most made it to the Leone Family BBQ. I'll have all the pics up tomorrow, but for now, here's the group photo of everyone who made it. |
8/12/10
Please listen to this old marine, who reminds us all of the missing verse to the Star Spangled Banner. God forbid this ever gets sung again at events... Thanks Big Guy, WFP for sending this over. Never Forget - God Bless America |
From TR, a reminder that we should always Remember Iwo Jima. |
8/11/10
Checkout this cool interactive t-shirt I bought for our guitarist, FjL. It has a built-in guitar and amplifier. Sounds great and is loads of fun. |
I've had a lot of people sit next to me on the train over the years, but this was a first. Had a parrot sit next to me. He even talked a bit for us. |
This is what the 1w6 floor looks like now. If all goes right, we move our folks back down in a couple of months. |
Seeing a car in the driveway, with all the wheels missing and on cinder blocks, can never really be a good thing, right ? |
Finally, they returned the garden out front. |
Had lunch with a couple of friends. Can't call them old friends, cause they ain't old. It was good to see everyone. Since Goombazza moved to 10e, we haven't seen each other as often as we used to. |
Things and events are beginning to coalesce, so again, I urge patience ... Retired general says Congress should give Obama ultimatum
I've seen that photo from several people of Barry sitting in the Oval Office with his feet up on the Resolute desk. At first thought it can be offensive. That was until I saw other photos of other Presidents doing the same thing. So, I don't think it may be right, but I ain't wasting any more time on that one. Plenty of real stuff to be concerned about, don't get caught up in a distraction meant to undermine We the People as we march towards taking America back. So, patience .... |
8/10/10
I grabbed these videos, and article off the net. A little treat from East Harlem, NYC. The lifting of the giglio (statue) at the Italian Feast of Saint Anthony. I remember going to this feast as a kid, and watching this video brought back many fond memories. My goal is to bring Nonny there next year. She'd love to see this again. |
Just bought me a refurbished Motorola Droid. Can't stand my HTC Imagio running WM6, and need to test drive an android machine. |
8/9/10
My newest Pez - Giant Fireman. Ain't he cool ? |
8/8/10
Remember that 9/11 mural we painted on the roof last year ? Well, it finally made it to Google Maps. Now our roof stands out for all to see. Here's the 9/11 mural video |
This little critter was in our yard today. A real nice closeup images of a grasshopper. Pic1 , Pic2 |
CROSSING STREAMS band will be back Thursday June 17th at the NYC landmark bar The Red Lion - Location: 151 Bleecker Street (@Thompson Street) in The Village ; Set Time: 7 -10 PM
Back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks of vacation. Checked my Blackberry, and I gots a few messages to catch up on, when I get back. At 444 and counting. |
Be sure and bookmark this link. It's a live feed from the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower construction site. You can zoom in, save, print or email the image. |
8/7/10
The kids on the block were baking in the heat, so I ran the sprinkler for them one day, and let them in the pool the next. They enjoyed both. |
I cobbled together a new patriotic graphic, with a PEZ spin to it. Hope you like it. |
I spotted a few of these embedded in the street, along the Malba jetty. What are they for ? |
My bride has a nice set of legs, don't you think ? |
How about this, a photo taken by the world's coolest uncle of a t-shirt for the world's coolest uncle. |
Went to the beach the other day. Had a nice time with my bride and TG. |
Any day I go to the beach and see a thong on a thong worthy body, is a good day at the beach for me. |
Caught the USPS truck on the way to deliver me my latest PEZ the other day.... |
We can now view our water meter usage on a daily basis. Some good data is available online now. I had to power wash a couple of areas in the yard, and look at the spike in water usage for the day. |
8/5/10
Happy Birthday to my nephew, Noodles (AL). He turns 19 today, and is a hardworking, handsome young man. Enjoy your day today, we love you !!! |
8/4/10
How about that A-Rod, he did it. 600 career home runs, 3 years to the day he hit 500. Congratulations !!! |
Happy Birthday shout outs to my favorite brother-in-law BA, and my good friend TR. Hope you both enjoy your special day today. |
Just wondering, wouldn't it be real cool if Alex Rodriguez hits his 600th career home run today ? It would be so cool, because this was the day 3 years ago that he hit number 500. Maybe this image will help him reach this milestone. He met my great-nieces a couple of years ago in Florida. |
8/3/10
I quit smoking on this day 19 years ago. Now, I just did some quick math, and just using conservative numbers of $5.00 a pack for all 19 years, and only 2 packs a day, for all 19 years, I have saved over $69,350. Congrats to me again !!! |
7/31/10
Congratulations to me, as I reach 31 years at the bank. Boy have things and I changed in all that time. I am quite proud of the organization we have, and have fond memories of the years. |
7/30/10
I have this beautiful set of PEZ porcelain hinged box dispensers. |
Checkout this beautiful red Chevelle we came across today. |
We had a nice time at Jones Beach today. Me and my brothers were all together. |
We even got to see a bunch of dolphins in the water this afternoon. How cool is that ? |
I'm sorry, but I do still miss Dubya. Tell the truth, don't you ??? |
Checkout the new city website at the DEP that allows you to track your water usage by the day or hour. Prettyslick information provided.
When we went to Sandy Hook, we lucked out and had a room with a view of Manhattan. |
