Sad day at work. NY/NJ CompOps functionality has been migrated to a GCC pair in the UK & HK. We lost 9 long time colleagues today as a result. And for the first time ever, there are no operations staff at any of the DCs. It was an eerie feeling at the NY Bridge, with no one there except the equipment and a couple of old sweatshirts ... All that's left to do is complete emptying the 2 floors and give them back to CRE to be made into people floors. Thank you Globalization ... |

32 years ago today, I began to fulfill a promise I made to my then future mother-in-law. A woman who was taken from us way too soon, and before we were married. I promised her that I would love and take good care of Rosanne forever. I adored her then, and now. I was the luckiest man alive to fall in love, and be accepted by Rosanne Albanese. We have been through a lot over the years. I'm a handful all by myself, I know that, and I don't think anyone else would, or could put up with me. I like to think I've been a good provider, husband, father, friend. I know I've tried and worked hard at it. I promised her the lap of luxury, and I delivered in spades. I moved her out of that shithole called Whitestone, to upscale College Point, (I call it West Malba). We have 3 amazing young men as adult children. Her mothering helped set them on their way to be loving men, husbands and fathers, as they each begin their next chapters of their lives. I can only hope and pray we spend the rest of our lives together, for as ever long that may be, with you as my bride. Times have also been trying, full of choices and sacrifices for the family. And we have great challenges today, but there is no stronger partner I would want to be with, and to support each other during these times. I can only hope that the love and admiration I have for her, she still has for me. Happy Anniversary - I Love You Rosanne ... Truly ... xoxo |
