And with the UK attacks comes an announcement by the NYPD that there will be random bag inspections on subways, buses, etc. And just so we don't offend they promise that profiling won't be employed. Why not ? If the last 999 out of 1,000 bombings have been by Muslims, it seems a no brainer to me who we should look out for and randomly check. I call that sensible policing.

We received bad news today. Jan Nymark has passed away suddenly. He was diagnosed with cancer less than 2 months ago, and has succumbed already. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family at this very difficult time. Jan was one of the good guys to work with and will be missed by many.

Our great-nieces were over the other day. They have grown so much.

Terrible news out of London with the terrorist attacks that took place this morning. 6 or more bomb blasts in their subway system and bus lines. I find it very curious that our Dept. Of  Homeland Security announces that there are no signs of any planned attacks in the US. I ask a simple question, was there a sign of the ACTUAL attacks that just took place in London ? So, how comforting is this message supposed to be to someone like me, who has to ride the subway each day ?

So, Rev Al gets all excited because some stupid black kids catch a beating while walking through a neighborhood that IS NOT THEIR OWN looking for cars to steal. This is a racist bias attack ?, we used to call it street justice. You come to my town and steal, see what happens if anyone catches you, be you white, black, or those new green people we've spotted. Well, where is Rev Al now that we have a black man, who went to the mall, for only one reason, to find someone who represents the 'white way of life' and to kill that person. He picks a wonderful mother of small children, mostly because she was blond and blue eyed, but ONLY because she was white. I suppose the Rev will say we don't understand this sicko, and we need to understand where is rage came from. ENOUGH of this shit. Throw the criminals in jail, don't let them out, and start having more caring and understanding for those of us who actually work for a living, want to live quietly with everyone else, and are generally good citizens.

Have you heard about the most recent Muslim hate crime ? Someone left a bag on the steps of an area Mosque. The bag contained a Quran with several burnt pages, and other Islamic items. Muslims, and the America hating media declared HATE CRIME, after all, books don't burn themselves. These people even had the BALLS to suggest that EVERYONE in America ought to be required to read the Quran. Yeah, whatever. It turns out that a fellow religious Muslim student left the items at the Mosque, because they were damaged in a home fire, and he wanted to ensure they were disposed of properly. Seems there are no instructions on how to dispose of a Quran. I find the initial response appalling, and the subsequent NO ATTENTION after it was determined there was no HATE CRIME to continue to stoke flames with even more problematic.

Have you received one of those email jokes that starts out with PLEASE DO THIS, IT IS HYSTERICAL. I have a few times so far, and thought I would share this bit of info with you all., So BEWARE, and don't forward this crap to your friends, it would be better to forward to your enemies. (7/7/05)

Why did someone start this joke circulating around the internet, anyway? I suspect the answer is, in part, that it becomes a great way of harvesting email addresses. When I received this email, there were fifty-three email addresses embedded in the message. They were the email addresses of the person who sent it to me, the other people she sent it to, as well as a bunch of people who had received it in the past.

Sooner or later, some spammer will get a copy of this, and it will contain my email address, and I'll start getting even more spam than I already do!

A Helpful Tip

Never pass on forwarded emails like this, because it's a sure way for your email address and your friends' email addresses to end up in the hands of an email harvester who wants nothing better than to spam you!

We had a little heat problem the other day, when an AC unit failed. Temp rose to >100 degrees. Thanks to our engineering staff, we were able to avoid a complete catastrophe.

I read a letter from a reader to the NY Post that stated that when we rebuild the Twin Towers as Trump suggests, and IF no one wants to occupy the top floors, we can relocate the entire UN to the top 20 floors. I think that's a wonderful idea, and would show the entire world's support for Freedom.

I don't know. I recall previous NY Post front pages that contained amongst other things, a burnt out, blown up commuter bus from Israel, images of our dead American citizens, their burnt body parts hanging from a bridge in Iraq, Army soldier carrying dead babies. Those images made me sick. The image of Saddam in his skivvies made me laugh. And we laugh at the animal who was responsible for those other images, as well as many more sick images we have yet to uncover. So let's not be so worried about hurting Saddams honor, he has none. Remember what happened on 9/11. WE MUST NEVER FORGET, and WE MUST REBUILD THE TOWERS

So, despite the fact that DAYS have passed since Newsweek RETRACTED their story about flushing the Koran down a toilet,, a proposed leader in Iraq had this to tell his followers - Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr urged Muslims across Iraq to paint US and Israeli flags at mosque entrances for worshippers to walk on in protest at the alleged desecration of the Koran at the US detention camp in Guantanamo Did't they get the NEWS reports about the RETRACTION as fast as they got the wrong information that sparked the riots ? Or are they simply LOOKING FOR ANY REASON to protest against America ?

All you non-Catholics who have been wondering about the new Pope: This small item should give you some insight:

As I understand it, Ratzinger was not the Cardinals first choice. That was, interestingly, Cardinal Hans Grapje.

Grapje was raised in a Catholic school in The Hague and, as a young man, aspired to become a priest, but was drafted into the Army during WWII and spent two years co-piloting B17s until his aircraft was shot down in 1943 and he lost his left arm. Captain Grapje spent the rest of the war as a chaplain, giving spiritual aid to soldiers, both Allied and enemy.

After the war, he became a priest, serving as a missionary in Africa, piloting his own plane (in spite of his handicap) to villages across the continent. In 1997, Father Grapje was serving in Zimbabwe when an explosion in a silver mine caused a cave-in. Archbishop Grapje went down into the mine to administer last rights to those too severely injured to move. Another shaft collapsed, and he was buried for three days, suffering multiple injuries, including the loss of his right eye. The high silver content in the mine's air gave him purpura, a life-long condition characterized by purplish skin blotches.

Although Cardinal Grapje devoted his life to the service of God as a scholar, mentor, and holy man, church leaders felt that he should never ascend to the Papacy.

They felt that the Church would never accept a one-eyed, one-armed, flying purple Papal leader.

Now we have Donald Trump echoing comments I have been making for some time now. We should REBUILD the Twin Towers. I can list a variety of reasons, but basically we are a nation that rebuilds things that get destroyed by others. We don't replace. Rebuilding is more powerful and effective than replacing can ever be. Rebuilding means WE WIN, replacing means THEY WIN. Which side you wanna be on ?

I've had it with the NY Post. A few weeks ago they added to the confusion over the NY Daily News Game problem that resulted in more winners than the game intended, by disparaging the paper, and it's editors, and management. Thus contributing to the ignorant mindset that people may have actually won that contest and deserved to receive the erroneous cash awards. And then we have the story of the 3 year old who sneaks out of his home, catches the bus, gets off the stop for the movie theater, gets past 2 or 3 layers of crack security there and starts to watch the movie Robots. On this one, they REWARDED this child by treating him and his family to the movie, with all the special treatment of a local hero. Instead of the Post EDUCATING its readership, and eventualy all New Yorkers, it chose to contribute to the current philosophy of appeasing those who behave poorly. What the Post should be doing is reminding everyone about the 'spirit' of the game the Daily News was running. If anyone with a grade school education would have read the RULES, they would have been informed that the game is supposed to have 1 winner in each category. With quality in American industry being what it is, RULES were established that PROTECTED the NYDN against MISTAKES being made that would have resulted in more winners than the game INTENDED. The Post was in a great position to do the right thing, and remind people that life has rules and limits, and this was an honest mistake, that should have been downplayed by the media, instead of contributing to the confusion, and allowing these weak-minded losers to believe they may actually be entitled to something. With the 'rambunctious' little toddler, instead of REWARDING his bad behavior, they should be taking the time to REMIND the young people that they are supposed to follow the guidance of their parents, should not be venturing out alone. What do you suppose this kid and others like him may be thinking now instead ? That if they do something stupid they might get their way, their face in the paper, and on the nightly news reports ? Does this kid THINK that what he did was right or wrong ? This is a BAD TREND happening, and we ought to recognize it and reverse course ASAP. (5/1/05)

I just found out that we lost a dear colleague from the Republic National Bank days last week. Blair Mazin was one of the Financial Accountants for us. He and his wife were both hard of hearing. It seems they were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning by their car, which was left running in their garage. Blair was a good man and was always concerned for others. We used to conduct annual data center tours for young students from the League for the Hard of Hearing. Can you picture a sign interpretor keeping up with me? He will be missed by many. I'm sorry I have no other information at this time. We lost 2 special people over the last week. Mr E passed away Saturday after some recent brain cancer problems, and EA passed on today. Today is also my Grandma's anniversary of her passing. These were 2 special people for us, and they will be missed by their family and friends. God Bless You both. (3/23/05)

I attended Palm Sunday mass this year (it's been MANY years....). The mass I attended was in memory of my Grandma who passed away a year ago Weds. Today is my 22nd wedding anniversary. There is nothing I can ever really say that would properly describe my wife. She's my best friend, a great wife, and a wonderful mother. As anyone knows, it ain't easy dealing with me, and she's done a pretty good job of understanding me, and making sure I don't go too far off kilter. Lord knows we have our issues, but I wouldn't want to have them with anyone else. I Love You baby. Always have, always will. Deal with it.

So, I get a phone call this morning before 7am, from DA. Seems she is $101,000 poorer today, as that 'other local newspaper' (The New York Daily News) admits to a 'game problem' with the Saturday numbers. She's a loser again. It did feel good while it lasted, and you'll always be a winner to us. (3/20/05) "... Game co. apologizes for Scratch error - The winning numbers for yesterday's Scratch n' Match contest contained an error..."

DA plays the New York Daily News scratchoff games. GDs mom ditches hers, but DA saves it, and ays if they win, she'll split it. So what happens ? DA wins $1,000 off of her card, and $100,000 off the other card. That's right, she wins $101,000, and boy is she happy..... Congratulations, and enjoy yourself.

Humans are seen trying to help this poor animal. FOX called the 'proper authorities', who when they arrived quickly determined that the seal wasn't sick, hurt or dying, He was SUNNING himself on the beach, like they do as they travel their migration routes.

FFisherman caught in their nets a unique 50+ year old 22lb lobster. We humans are going to protect this poor animal, so we decide to send it to some local aquarium or zoo. Through all this handling and movement the lobster dies, what with all the attention, interviews and photographing.

I am a simple kind of man, and tend to keep life simple, so here's my take on this whole 10 Commandments thing. It's what Sumpreme Court Justice Scalia had to say during arguments today When Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott replied that a disclaimer would ensure that the display was constitutional, Scalia interjected, "Why don't you do it....Then we wouldn't have this case." ADD A DISCLAIMER AT THE BOTTOM, that the US Government in no way endorses, or requires you subject yourself to some sort of religious belief, or any other general list of good ideas, cause after all, if you read the 10 commandments, they ain't bad ideas, now are they ???. As I listened to the opposition, they kept suggesting that to anyone who'd listen, so why don't we stop and listen to them, add the fucking disclaimer and get on to some real important stuff, like protecting our security from the animals who want to kill us all. You know, I feel the same about this whole smoking ban too, in restaurants, or bars or other retail places of business. The owner of the bar should put a BIG SIGN on the front door, that SMOKING PERMITTED INDOORS. This way you can see right before you enter, that this place may not appeal to your type of lifestyle, and you can GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Come on smokers, grow some balls and stand up for your rights. Until they make cigarettes illegal to buy, you ought to be able to smoke 'em. And owners of privately held businesses have the right to cater to ANYONE they desire.

I've been having a problem with a Metrocard vending machine that I use regularly. Someone is placing a wedge of paper in the bill slot, so it won't accept any money. Then forces you to go to the token clerk. To me the math is quite easy, but the MTA is a litle slow. Anyway, in case you come across this in your travels, just use a pen knife and remove the wedge. Here is a field pic of the condition. They place a folded wedge of paper in the left side of the bill slot. Just remove it.

Some awful events taking place in Indonesia as a result of the earthquake and subsequent tsunamis. My heart goes out to the people having to cope and prayers out to all the missing and dead. Now the analysis can begin to see what can be done to detect and warn in advance of these types of events. In my mind, 4-6 hours should have been enough time to at least let countries now of the potential and to begin to head for higher ground. Perhaps the death toll could have been lower in those farther off locations that were affected. If you can, donate to the Red Cross or some other relief fund.

A college professor, an avowed Atheist, was teaching his class. He shocked several of his students when he flatly stated that there is no God. The expression, "One Nation Under God," was unconstitutional and further, he was going to prove there is no God. Addressing the ceiling he shouted: "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"

The lecture room fell silent. You could have heard a pin fall. Ten minutes went by. Again he taunted God, saying, "Here I am, God. I'm still waiting."

His countdown got down to the last couple of minutes when a Marine just released from active duty and newly registered in the class walked up to the professor, hit him full force in the face and sent him ass over teacups from his lofty platform. The Professor was out cold! At first the students were shocked and babbled in confusion.

The young Marine took a seat in the front row and sat silent. The class fell silent...waiting.

Eventually, the professor came to, shaken. He looked at the young Marine in the front row. When he regained his senses and could speak he yelled, "What's the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

"God was busy. He sent me."

I bought some new software over the last week or so. One does collages. Drop some pics on a defined canvas, hit auto-collage and bingo. Real kool.

The other product prints images across multiple pages. So, I can print a 16" x 20" poster size pic or larger, then assemble the pieces like a puzzle. Once you mount it in a frame, you won't be able to tell the difference. There are even online services that print any size you send them for a fair price. I got some thngs to rant about : (12/15/04) the TSA thing over how air marshals should dress. Some say in suits, others say like undercover Starsky and Hutch. I say they need 3 things : A blue police uniform with a shiny badge A machine gun A pot-belly pig on a leash There is no better deterrent than a visual one. That's why cops wear uniforms now. Don't we want to stop someone from TRYING anything at all, instead of 'swooping in on 'em' after they already take over the plane ? And if he's gonna be on the plane, it should be with a visual show of overwhelming power, and nothing speaks better than that than to see one of the SWAT guys standing with a machine gun in his hands. And, the pot belly pig ? oh, well, he's there to entertain the children, of course.

I bought a new PC over the holiday weekend. What an experience. What I thought was going to be a pleasant experience that would  play out over a week or two at a nice normal migration pace, turned into a catastrophe, when my old pc was shutdown and wouldn't boot. All attempts to recover the OS failed, and I had to enlist my bro who had a neat gadget to mount my old IDE hard drive in the new PC using a USB converter. I managed to salvage my data, but had to migrate over the weekend al the app stuff. Humpty Dumpty still ain't all together, but we're close. PS - I HATE COMPUTERS. (12/1/04)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Take some time to reflect on all we should be thankful for. I wanna thank my wife for managing to handle all that life puts in front of us. I know it ain't easy, but you do a remarkable job 'handling' us all. I'm also thankful for my 3 sons. No one could ask for better kids. Each of them are mature beyond their years and make us proud each day. Thank You to our troops everywhere, and especially to those we lost, fighting for our freedom. Yes, the enemy that moments earlier was shooting to kill coalition forces was wounded and left to die, but didn't.   We come along, and having the prior experience of : having dead combatants blow up in our faces, because their comrades booby trapped their dead bodies, or enemy combatants pretending to be dead so they can attack an approaching American, or enemy combatants who wave the white flag, only to draw our forces into an ambush, or enemy hiding in schools, mosques, hospitals shooting at us It surprises the Arab world that people get killed during a war ? That war is ugly, and real ?   What, we didn't warn Fallujah enough to get out if you don't want to fight and die ? After all, the 'leaders' are gone, so they knew how to get to safety.   the Arab world forgets that this is called a WAR. Objective is to KILL EVERY bad guy, so they never can fight again   But the Arab world doesn't seem to be so enraged over the facts that   innocent civilians are being kidnapped, and have their HEADS cut off on videotape that aid workers who lived amongst Iraqi's for 30 years are kidnapped and shot in the head that insurgents take over mosques, hospitals and schools to store arms, or fire on coalition forces that thousands of their own people are buried in mass graves all throughout Iraq that females of all ages were raped in front of their own families while Saddam and his sons were in power that men of all ages were beaten and tortured in front of their families that BILLIONS of dollars were stolen from the very people it was sent to help (who are now enraged at us) that coalition forces are killed, then burned, MAIMED and torn apart, with their body parts hung from bridges that young boys are forced to strap explosives to themselves, and sent to blow up other young children that children are taught to hate, attack and kill in their schools and places of worship that outsiders are coming in to their country to start trouble No, this DOESN'T enrage the Arab 'world' The Arab world is dysfunctional if this is the case. And the only way to deal with it is to first ACKNOWLEDGE it. Enough of this shit already. Somebody needs to also deal with the media who is fueling this nonsense, and have them start acting responsibly for the population of mankind who believe that good must overtake evil. And not give evil a chance to breathe or rationalize any behavior that is contrary to people living in peace and harmony together. Don't air the audio tapes, the video tapes, the demands, the propaganda. If nobody can hear them and listen to them, they will go away. We need to marginalize them the way we did Arafat. Make them irrelevant. And EVERY battle we fight should be with NO MERCY, swift, unrelenting and MASSIVE. And if you really want to get to the bottom of it all, I say we can deal with the Middle East by dealing with a few European countries first. Let's take on France and Germany, and see how fast everyone else gets in line. These are the people who are enabling the terrorists to flourish, or who give them the impression that they may actually get somewhere with these terror tactics. I am a crack dealer in Mt. Washington, KY., who has recently been diagnosed as a carrier of HIV virus. My parents live in Morehead and one of my sisters, who lives in West Liberty, is married to a transvestite.

My father and mother have recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana. They are financially dependent on my other two sisters, who are prostitutes in Covington. I have two brothers, one is currently serving a non-parole life sentence at Eddyville for the murder of a teenage boy in 1994. My other brother is currently in jail awaiting charges of sexual misconduct with his three children.

I have recently become engaged to marry a former prostitute who lives in Campton. She is a part-time "working girl." All things considered, my problem is this. I love my fiancée and look forward to bringing her into the family. I certainly want to be totally open and honest with her.

So, Arafat is in a coma, let's hope he dies quickly. Question I have is if the Palestinians have figured out that the Rat fled to France, instead of strapping a homicide bomb belt on and calling a meeting with Sharon. When are these people going to figure out they are being exploited by their leadership, and expect some leadership by example ?

And hopefully Bush can now go to France, demand that they turn Arafat over to either the US or Israel, so he can be dealt with as the terrorist he is. And if that doesn't work, I say bomb France for harboring terrorists. Just think of the gall of Chirac going to the hospital to visit Arafat. What was that all about ??? Perhaps to make sure that he still gets his oil and money from someone else ?, one last hug and kiss on both cheeks ? with any luck he gives Chirac whatever disease he has. (11/4/04)

Even the parking lot attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and safe environment is created for patrons. After 7pm, music will start and they will section off some room upstairs in the restaurant for people who want a quieter locale. After 7:30pm, everyone is free to split up into groups and go off for dinner.

Ah, those Yankees. Only bright side is they didn't lose the game on Frank's birthday, they waited until 2 minutes after midnight to choke. Maybe next year Son. Joe is happy, since he's a big Sox fan.

Now, for my 2 cents on the Yankees. I haven't paid attention to baseball since the strike 100 years ago. Seems I am the only one with discipline in these matters. I don't read the papers, watch the standings, or any of that. I will watch some of the ending playoff games, cause everyone else at home is. What I noticed for the 3 or 4 games I watched is that the Yankee players don't swing at strikes. I watched nearly every Yank actually watch and follow the ball into the catchers mitt, but they don't swing. They were swinging at pitches that were 'other' than strikes. To me this seems to be the wrong way to play. And if I was Big Stein, I'd take issue with that. (10/21/04)

My youngest son Frank is 12 years old today. To say that he is a young man would be putting it mildly. He makes us proud each day with his maturity and attitude. He is respectful, humble, honest, athletic (no thanks to me) and pretty freaking handsome (WITH thanks from me). You are developing into a remarkable young man, with the added benefit of learning from the mistakes your brothers have made before you (not that there were too many), but with each experience you become more rounded and grounded in life. We love you, we are so proud of you. Happy Birthday son !!!.

As a special present to our Dad, my bro FL ended up in the NYU Medical Center ER room last evening. He had chest pains at work, so the NYC paramedics took him to the ER. He is checked in, considering his medical history, but seemed to be doing OK last night. He does look like shit, don't ya think ? I want to thank his work friends Reggie and Frank for helping out. They called me, cause knucklehead didn't want his wife or Pop to know. Yeah, like I'm gonna keep this a secret.... Thanks guys, you are true friends of the family.

My nephew Tommy 'Three Fingers' is in the hospital with some sort of an intestinal problem. They had to remove 4 inches from his colon. He is resting, and doing well. And he really likes his morphine drip. Listen to the nurses TJ, they will help you get better.

We had our NYPD Hercules show today. Always a comfort to see machine guns at work.

My oldest son Jack is 20 today. No longer a teenager and all set to vote in his first Presidential election. Holy Shit ! Where did 20 years go ? To say the years flew by, would be an understatement. And as I try to figure out why it does feel like that, it dawned on me that it is probably a by-product of the type of life Jack has lived so far. I think if he was a bad kid, drawn to the streets, and appeal of being bad or tough, our life would have been more abrasive, and then feel like it was longer and harder. But Jack has lived an honorable life. Loving, caring, considerate, mature, wise. He's learned a lot. He's given a lot. His relationship with his mother is the key in my mind. Ohe yeah, I helped, by being there and doing what it is I do. But it's Rosanne who made the boys the men they are becoming and in Jack's case the man he becomes today. She has mothered them well, and should be proud of that achievement and the results. I Love You Jack, we love you, and are so proud of you. Be happy always. Happy Birthday !!! (9/18/04)

I'm flying to that crazy land north of our border for 3 days. So, I'll be gone a bit. I do have some things I have to cover for that time period, so I guess I'll post what I can over this weekend. Check often, as I'll post as the moments come to me. On 9/21 it will be 2 years that our boy Mark passed. It's really hard to believe that it's been that long, and then when you think again, it has been a long time as well. Our nights together haven't been the same since Ralph and now Mark left us. We miss them a lot.

It's hard to believe that it's been 3 years since the attacks on America. Watching the services and footage of the day brought back very painful memories and emotions. We also paid our respects to 1st Lt. Ronald Winchester, who at 25, gave his life for our country. I expect there will be more pain to come, but there is no greater place than America and we must defend our freedom at all costs. We Must Never Forget.

Awful news out of Iraq. A colleague has lost his son. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Ron Winchester. God Bless You and Thank you for your service to our country. Ron was home just a few weeks ago, and I was able to spend some time with him at a golf outing., He was extremely proud of his service, and the great accomplishments he felt we were making over there.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE - A Rockville Centre family is mourning the loss of their son, a U.S. Marine killed in Iraq Thursday.

First Lieutenant Ronald Winchester was home two weeks ago for a scheduled month-long leave and arrived back in Iraq last Sunday. The Department of Defense says he was killed during enemy action.

Winchester attended Chaminade High School and played football for the Flyers and at the Naval Academy. His family and friends described him as outgoing and popular with a dynamic personality.

The Village of Rockville Centre has lowered its flags to half staff in honor of their fallen hometown hero. Winchester's family says funeral arrangements have not been made yet.

So, it seems like those 1/2 ton concrete barriers won't even stop a car backing up. Seems they are not anchored, and if you nudge them they move. Highly effective. In my opinion all we have now are 40 1/2 ton concrete projectiles.

I just celebrated 25 years at my job (7/31). I guess it is a pretty significant achievement these days, but anyone who knows me, knows I am too lazy to move, so to me it was quite easy. What is remarkable is they haven't fired me for some of my antics. I do want to thank my current manager RR, and my admin GG for planning and funding a little get together. It was good to have some close colleagues join us, and I was even surprised when some ex-RNB'ers showed up as well.

I just picked up a new dye-sub photo printer. A truly amazing printer, with quality that matches the local pharmacy photo lab or the online photo shops. It's the HiTouch Technologies 730PS. Standard 4x6 prints are running me $.30, with 5x7, or 6x8 slightly higher, but still less expensive than these places. I highly recommend this printer. It also operates standalone, without a PC and prints from 7 different media cards directly. Real slick  (8/25/04)

You know, I am getting tired of hearing about how holy the mosques are over in Irag. If these places of worship were so fucking holy, then the bad guys wouldn't dare use them. How can they be too holy for us to blow them the fuck up, when bad guys are holed up in them with guns and bombs, but they aren't too holy for them to be occupied like this in the first place. I say, take one last picture of the place, then level it. So, over the weekend they installed concrete barriers in front of our building to ward of terrorists with a truck bomb. They look like candy dots, and monopoly hotels, here are pics of them unpainted, and after the special paint job. Some observations of mine, they left 2 gaps that 2 trucks can drive through to pull up right onto the sidewalk, and in either case, when the bomb goes off, the concrete will do extra damage as schrapnel. Again, if you ask me, it is easier, cheaper and more effective to KILL THE FUCKING TERRORISTS.

My son Joe graduated from Holy Cross High School today. To say that we are proud of him would be an understatement. I have made many posts on Joe, and each usually contain some sort of comment on him being a young man, or caring man, or mature young man. But now Joe graduates high school a man. Plain and simple. When you say man, it comes with all the natural qualifiers one would expect of any man. I love you Joe. Mommy and I love you, and are so proud of the man you have become. We look at you and are amazed how fast time flies. I remember the day you were born, like it was yesterday. You make us proud daily, in the way you conduct your life. No parent could ever ask for a better child. We have been blessed with 3 fine young men, and we have nothing but faith in your ability to accomplish whatever you set your heart on. We will be there always to support you. As you embark on this next phase of your life, always be true to yourself, and your faith. Maintain your personal integrity, despite any challenge you face. Enjoy your time at John Jay College, and have fun as you continue your education. Maintain proper perspective on life, trust your heart and you will do fine. God Bless You..

The Elusive Sail Capri tossed a few our way this weekend as he readies for his new job. This was one of the good ones.(5/31/04) A woman was in a coma and nurses were in her room giving her a sponge bath. One of them was washing her private area and noticed that there was a response on the monitor when she touched her. They went to her husband and explained what happened, telling him, "Crazy as this sounds, maybe a little oral sex will do the trick and bring her out of the coma." The husband was skeptical, but they assured that they'd close the curtains for privacy. The husband finally agreed and went into his wife's room. After a few minutes the woman's monitor flat lined; no pulse, no heart rate. The nurses ran into the room. "What happened?" they cried. The husband said, "I guess she choked."

The family mourns the loss of one of our beloved cousins. Jimmy 'Rags' Brancazio has passed on, and he will be missed by all of us.
