Work begins on a new building in the parking lot next door. It's gonna be 31 stories, block our view and noisy and dusty as hell for a while. And Scooby and RS will be cleaning dry coolers quite often... On the plus side, maybe we'll get to see into some bedrooms while on the smoking perch ... hmmm.... turning lemons into lemonade ... ;-) |

Our containment system was delivered. HUGE pallets, that's a 6 foot wide case, took 7 guys to bring all this stuff in. Now we gotta get it wrapped around our cold/hot aisles ... Anyone got a working ruler ??? Settle in for a 2-3 week task... |

I spotted our admin hanging by the perch. MR is doing a great job for us, and keeps us well organized, and all of our invoices up to date. And to boot, she tolerates the boys pretty good. After all with the likes of Scooby, JJ , Lud and CM (BL), and the band of naughty boyzz they are, she holds her own. Soon, she flies back to the left coast to visit family and take a well earned vacation. |

I have a great contact inside the USPS, so I can get these mailboxes repainted every time I see this graffiti. I have a list of about 24 boxes that I've 'adopted' and within 2 days they repaint them. Awesome people, thank you... I don't know why the letter carriers aren't required to report these conditions, but I do and they take care of them quickly. |

Hard to imagine that it's 13 years since that awful day in America. I wish I could say it gets easier as we lead up to this day every year, but the truth is, it's getting harder for me. Part of it is age, and part of it now is the anxiety I have knowing that I have a son who is a NYPD cop, and another one thisclose to becoming an FDNY firefighter. I can't imagine how they must feel, and can't really express how proud I am of both of them. I wish things were different, and it makes it even harder for me at this particular time. I feel powerless, like I can't protect them any longer. They're adults, and they make their own decisions. I only hope they know deep down, how much I love them, respect them, and most of all worry sick over them EVERY day. It is their daily sacrifice, and the daily sacrifice of all of our service men and women, and the dedication of our first responders who help keep America safe, and guard our freedom. Freedom is not easy or free, or a given, and this world seems to be getting more dangerous every day. I love you PO JaL, and Probie FjL. You make us proud each and every day. Stay safe out there. Life is short, family is important and our country will Never Forget ... And with that said, I can't help but ask that you take a few minutes and follow this link to a special tribute page entitled simply - Remember The Blood of Heroes - it is painful to watch, but important to remember that day.
