	The Elusive Sail Capri checks in with this story that shows how the NY Times gathers it's information.

A man is walking through the zoo when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to devour her right in front the little girl's screaming parents. The man runs to the cage, hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain, the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the man returns her to her terrified parents.

A reporter has seen the whole scene and says to the rescuer, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I saw a man do in my whole life.'

'Why, it was nothing,' said the man. 'Really, the lion was behind bars and I knew God would protect me just as He did Daniel in the lion's den long, long ago. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt was right.'

'I noticed a Bible in your pocket. Are you a Republican?,' asked the journalist.

'Yes, and I'm a Christian on my way to a Bible study,' the man replies.

'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist for the New York Times and tomorrow's paper will have this on the front page.'

The journalist leaves. The following morning the man buys the New York Times to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads on first page:

'Right Wing Republican Christian Fundamentalist Assaults African Immigrant and Steals His Lunch.'

	I'm another year older. and certainly a bit wiser. Happy Birthday to me !!. Here's me with my honey and my folks.
	Today also marks one year since my Uncle passed away. The family still hurts, and I know that my Aunt and Dad are still having some difficulty. I Love You Zeke.
	Here's something we don't see often. CR in a collared shirt. Looking sharp dude...
	Malba turns 100 this year.
	We just had our bedroom made over, floor sanded and stained. I ripped out the carpets a few weeks ago, and the room looks so much warmer and richer with the wood floors. Can't wait till we do the living room.

Here's something I hope NYC looks into. Need a way to deal with the pet owners who take their dogs to other peoples houses so they can crap there instead of their own front lawn, or down the park for your kid to roll around in it. Collect a DNA Sample and trace the poop back and fine the bastards.

	The mirrored disk array I purchased last year just paid for itself. One of the drives in the array failed, the tool reported it, told me which disk to replace. I replaced it and it did a rebuild to re-sync the pair. Could have been a little less quirky, but it did work. When I bought it it was around $300, it's much lower now, and is a good investment for anyone who wants to protect their data. Western Digital 1TB/500GB mirrored disk
	I see this NYC Ducks tour bus pass me each day on 5th avenue. Turns out it really does go into the water as part of the tour. Way kool, I can't wait to go myself.

It's hard to believe it's been 7 years since the attacks on America. For me, I think of that day each and every day and I still hurt. I find it amazing that we continue to identify victims to this day. Please take the time today to reflect upon that day, and be reminded of the evil that attacked us, and the fact they continue to try to attack us every day of their lives. We must Never Forget. We've lost a lot of people since then trying to stop future attacks and to try to bring freedom to other countries. For our way of life to survive, we must persevere. God Bless America !!!

Here's an interesting ad out by some group called the American Issues Project. It highlights the special relationship Barack America Obama has with William Ayers.

"... The fact that Barack Obama chose to launch his political career at the home of an unrepentant terrorist raises more questions about Senator Obama's judgment than any TV ad ever could," McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said.

Ayers has admitted to involvement in the bombings of U.S. governmental buildings in the 1970s.

"I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough," he told the New York Times in an interview released Sept. 11, 2001

"Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon," Ayers wrote in his memoirs, "Fugitive Days."

The American Issues Project ad says, "Barack Obama is friends with Ayers, defending him as, quote, 'Respectable' and 'Mainstream.' Obama's political career was launched in Ayers' home. And the two served together on a left-wing board. Why would Barack Obama be friends with someone who bombed the Capitol and is proud of it? Do you know enough to elect Barack Obama?"

little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?'

You can come over to my house and mow, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50.
Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward a new house.'

	I'm really gonna miss 5th avenue. Checkout this perty-handsome sight I came across. I had to follow herm into the dollar store to snap these pics. Without the pic to look at, you would never believe me if I told you I saw this.
	Me and my honey went to see the Allman Brothers at Jones Beach. They were OK, a bit long with the instrumentals. We liked Bob Weir and Ratdog who opened for them better.

	I find it curious that B. Hussein Obama has to publish a 40 page response to a book they don't like. I've taken the time to read the response document, and he seems to be making too much out of one mans opinions. His responses seem very defensive and repetitive and I'm sure any psychologist reading it would wonder what is going on deep inside this mans mind. If Corsi's book is full of lies, distortions and half-truths, then leave it be, rest on your record and your actions and let intelligent people form their own opinions of you. Any book filled with lies and innuendo will be taken for what it is. You give the man credibility when you attack him the way the response is structured. I read it and it is full of name calling, drama and intense negativity.

After much thought and soul searching, I've decided to run for President of the United States. For only one reason. I love my country. Now I know what you're thinking. This guy is nucking futs if he thinks anyone is going to vote for him. But we've tested the waters in a small town in Colorado, and we think we have a good chance. 	It's been an exciting weekend in College Point. 2 shootings in as many days. I chased 6 teenagers from neighbors yards Friday night, as gunshots rang out from around the block. Seems they were running away from this. We had the whole crime scene unit exercise, detectives, sealed streets. We even saw Det. MH who helped us during the MW episodes. Then early this morning, we heard that there was another shooting on our block a few houses away. My folks even heard it, but we slept thru it all. There's even bullet holes in a neighbors front window, cause 2 houses were hit. They took away a young man from the one of the homes. Det MH came by and was interviewing the neighbors again. They think that both shootings were related. Should be fun around here for the next few weeks as they sort this out.

	So, let's try to analyze the John Edwards revelation that he DID in fact have an affair, despite the repeated denials to the public. The National Enquirer reports 2 things, he had an affair, and a love child. Johnny denies both, repeatedly. The mainstream press doesn't run anything, cause they want to be fair, even though they had the same info. He finally admits to half the story, continues to deny the other half. Mainstream only runs half after he comes out. Johnny continues to deny it's his kid, but for some reason, he stills sees this woman, years after he said it was over. Whose kid do you think it is ? Who are you going to believe and trust now, the mainstream media, or the National Enquirer ? Who ends up being the truly honorable, 'we report you decide outlet' ? The National Enquirer, that's who ! And Johnny thinks he may still get a job in B. Hussein Obama's cabinet, if he becomes President. Since he has a big D after his name, he may actually have a shot, had their been a big R, he'd be toast. In fact, I bet you won't even hear his party affiliation in any more of the mainstream news reports on this fuckhead.
	There was sad news this morning, Bernie Mac died, he was 50 years old. One very funny man, and he will be missed.

	Our CEO confirmed today that our building is for sale. That's a shame. This is a real nice building and complex and I hope we ain't all leaving it. I've been at 452 5th avenue for my entire 29 years. I'm really going to miss this spot. NY Public Library, Bryant Park, Times Square, Empire State Building, Grand Central, etc... Not that I visit these locations, since I don't move from my perch, but I know they are nearby and they're nice :-) I did spend a lot of time at 111 Pavonia when we were building that data center, but it's been the Tower that we've all come to love. He didn't speak to the other rumors, that they plan to move most of us to 7 World Trade Center. More to come I'm sure ...

	Today marks my 29th year at the Bank. When I started it was Republic National Bank of New York, today it is HSBC Bank USA. It's still me though, despite the weight gain, hair loss, vision loss, heart condition, prickly personality. Here are a few images from the past. My old ID card , me at the desk during my night shift , and the Bank tower under construction.
	Played some mini-golf with the family, and my BFF got a hole in one, and beat the pants off of the rest of us.

	We had a strong storm pass by the other day, and it caused damage to a very special tree at Whitestone Park. Those who know the tree will be saddened by this damage. Tree1 , Tree2

Happy Birthday America. As we celebrate the birth of our nation, we all should take the time to reflect on how much we've changed, the good times that we have enjoyed, as well as the painful ones that helped us to mature as a people and a way of life. It took and still takes the children of our citizens to sacrifice themselves for the rest of us. Some families we know live with that sacrifice each day of their remaining lives, and I try to imagine that with each interaction I have with my fellow Americans. It ain't easy either, is it ? , when you come across some very selfish, mean and nasty people some days. There are many powers, both internal and external that attempt to undermine us every chance they get. They try to pit you against me, us against them, green against blue. We need to resist these urges to 'go to our own corners' and stand together as a people and a way of life. WE do it each day at work, and I am convinced that if all of America conducted themselves as we do at the Bank in IT, this country can survive anything. God Bless America, God Bless our People, and please

	We have about 21 caterpillars growing. They are doing great, and are getting quite big. See if you can find all 7 in the pic.
	The replacement building on the old NDM site is almost done, and the building looks nice.
	I'm not too clear on what happened here, but it looks like this truck was caught driving in this condition. I didn't see any accident, and am curious as to what happened.

	Today was the 5K Memorial Run for Firefighter Michael Elferis from College Point. He died on 9/11, and is remembered each day. FFME1 , FFME2
	The First Reformed Church had a fire yesterday, and most of the steeple was badly burned. Our boys attended bible school here when they were very young. This is an old church in College Point and we hope they can repair it.
	Here's a NYC cab all ready for the Puerto Rican Day parade tomorrow.
	I don't know what Banana Boat is all about, but it required 3 guys in tuxedos to walk down Fifth Avenue yesterday
	So, I'm in the men's room minding my own business, when this huge fucking roach strolls by. When I told CC about it, he asked me if it was 'flying' !!! Flying ? If this flew, I would have ended up with a load of shite in me pants.

We held a lunch reception today for two colleagues. Christopher Conner & Tom Cushing both reached 20 years of loyal service to the Bank in May. 20 years at one place is remarkable these days. These two gentlemen are key contributors to our success as a team at work, and I am honored to work with them each day. Congratulations gentlemen !!! "Respect the voters that did not turn out" Howard Dean said this along with a bunch of other bullshit today. Think about that sentence. Respect people who didn't exercise their right to vote. Respect people who didn't have same respect for the system ? I don't get it. Maybe I'm dense. He also stated it was time to heal the American people. So, you have rules, they are broken by the states who understood the consequences, and now you want to heal them ? Who are you healing ? How do you heal them ? Change the rules ? After the game starts ? What are we teaching our young with this silly idea. Dubya has a word for this behavior, it's called 'appeasement'. They ought to see what the rules state is required to happen, and stick with it, and if they don't like it anymore, change the fucking rules for the next contest. Everyone needs to just grow up. Poor B. Hussein Obama wasn't even on the ballot for one of the states, so how can he get any votes out of this anyway ? How can you give 'undecided' votes to an individual, no less an individual who wasn't even on the ballot ? It's like watching 3 year olds at the park settling a dispute. Comical.
