Great news with Frank. We got home by about 1:00pm. Things went well, operation took less time than expected. Surgeon, Dr Dolan found and removed a fatty tumor mass near the knee cap. He believes this should resolve his problems. Frank did great in recovery, all the staff were nice, and helpful. Here are the pics from this long day @Flickr and my standard Pics of Frank's Knee Operation. Get well Frank. We love you very much. You did real good today son.

It's 5am, and we're headed to North Shore University Hospital for Frank's knee operation. Updates will be made later today.

	The issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be President continues to fall before the Supreme Court. I find it odd that the question is still out there, and it has not been fully exposed, so that all sides can accept the facts as they would have to exist. Mr. Obama either is or is not eligible. Simple presentation of certain documents would cleary highlight the facts. Would they not ?

	I sure hope this doesn't have any other underlying significance, but a HSBC Bank employee was found hanged in his hotel room in London. As sad as this is, our stock is doing bad enough, we don't need any other scandal to envelope us. Our prayers go out to the family, he was a young man with 2 children.

	Joe was told to report for the academy on January 7, 2009. Congratulations son !!!
	I'm trying to do some research on the restoration work being done at our building. It is know as the Knox Hat building, built in 1901, by John H. Duncan. Here's what Joe will be getting himself into when he begins the academy. The NYPD has a YouTube channel, and this was a video posted about the academy. Inside the NYPD - Episode 9: Police Academy

Here's an interesting story about what appears to be markings representing some sort of tunneling project in the South Dakota Badlands. Here's someone's analysis as well.  Look for yourself on Google Map or Google Earth at these coordinates : Lat 43°31'46.41"N ; Lon 102°43'31.66"W . The area involved is HUGE, if this is tunneling, what is it for ? Me, I think it can explain where a lot of our money has been diverted to. Are we building underground cities or rescue tunnels ? Is it being used to store all the food the government has been buying up ?

Our building is now completely covered with the scaffolding and covering. And now they have an advertisement on the scaffolding bridge. All this activity has forced us south to the cubby hole to hang out. Be sure to come visit us by the brass door/tablet that's also one of our emergency exits.

	This guy has been praying every day to the flagpole at the NY Public Library. He's facing south, so I ain't clear on who he's praying to.

I got a text message from Joe, and this was posted on 1010WINS, so it looks like Joe will begin the NYPD Academy class in January. He spoke to his investigator, and all his papers are in order, and he was told he's in and to wait for the call to report. That's great news for Joe. He's worked so hard for this, and we are so proud of him. Congratulations son, now get ready to pack some heat ....

 

	Looks like we may be getting good news on Joe's chance of getting into the January NYPD Academy class. Seems the mayor and city council reached a budget deal, and 250 cadets will go into the January class. With Joe being no. 72 and sitting with a Cum Laude diploma, things are looking good. Good Luck today Joe !!!

	My honey shoots over this scientific gem. I have to believe that any story or sentence that begins  like this -  Scientists find hole in Earth's magnetic field - well, that can't be a good story, can it ? Sure enough, you have to read it, and it ain't good. It evens contains the sentence "... Recent satellite observations have revealed the largest breach yet seen in the magnetic field that protects Earth from most of the sun's violent blasts ..."

We had our first major snow today. The first few flakes were as big as snowballs. I do hate it when it accumulates, but the first snows are the best to look at and to be walking around in.

	Well, we had Frank's follow-up yesterday with the the surgeon, and he will need the knee operation. We're set for 12/29 and it should be a few hours barring any problems. It'll be OK kid, I promise. In fact, if I had to do the operation, I probably could. Want me to get my tools son ?
	Some interesting happenings going on in Illinois. This Governor is in deep doo-doo. One can hope, since it is about hope and change now with our new president-elect. One can have hope, that if there was a 5 year investigation, and phone calls were tapped, that the long phone conversation Barry had with Rod on 11/23 was taped and it contained some interesting language. I say hope, because suddenly, the long conversation they say Barry had on 11/23, they now say never happened.... more to come, I'm sure.

My beautiful God-daughter is in 9th grade already.

Well, it looks like we don't have to worry about possibly going back to 7 WTC in the future. Larry Silverstein just signed another bank to take the top 3 floors of the rebuilt tower sitting in Ground Zero. We were so happy when the bank backed out of this. It was not a good feeling anywhere from  anyone, with the thought of having to work in that building. I'm glad it wasn't us, but have to ask, WestLB Bank, have you lost your damn mind ?

My grandmother, Zelda, turns 98 years young today. 98 years. Can you imagine ? She's an amazing woman. She still lives alone in Flushing, walks to Main Street every day, and is the first one up dancing at a party, and the last one to stop. If you walk with her, you can't keep up with her. 	We continue to wait for the Supreme Court to decide if they will review the Obama eligibility case it is conferencing on. Here's an update
	There was another accident on the corner. This is like the 3rd time a car ended up on Maria Lopez's front stoop. The blue car had folks we know. They were on their way to St. Fidelis for a Santa breakfast. The elderly lady Rosanne calls Grandma was banged up, and the 2 young kids were mostly OK. All were taken away in a ambulance to play it safe.

Do you realize that since the Mumbai terrorist attacks, there have already been about 40 other acts of Islamic expressions of peace ? I will begin to post updates on the stats from the religion of peace, so we can all fully appreciate the nature of these 'people' As we begin to transition to a new President in our country, it usually draws them out and they need to 'express' themselves. They did it in 1993, and 2001, within a year or so of a new administration. So, please be prepared, be vigilant, and above all be fearless. 	Just in time for the winter snow season, the big Guy, WFP reminds us that Winter Sucks. Not for nothing, but do you have to worry about this stuff anymore, down in Tampa ? This is still for DF to deal with up in Buffalo. While looking for this video, I came across this guys version of a Winter Sucks video, and I gotta tell you, I think I like his a little more. 	Anyone who knows me, knows I'm into all this 2012, Planet X (Nibiru) mythology. 	Check this article out. They found a 2,700 year old stash of marijuana in a Chinese tomb.

Had to pickup Frank's MRI x-rays, so another surgeon can look it over. Some concern over the knee's fat pad. He may have moved it out of position, which has limited his mobility. They may need to operate to reposition it. Nothing major, but still surgery. So, we'll see what happens. If any doctors are out here, let me know what you think of these x-rays.

	So, Dubya has pardoned the turkey, he pardoned a convicted drug dealer who is also a rapper, but he STILL hasn't pardoned those 2 Border Patrol cops serving time for shooting a fleeing Mexican drug smuggler in the back. Go figure.

	New York City is now on alert for a possible attack over the holidays. We hear nothing specific, but now we have a terrorist attack taking place in Mumbai, India. Several Western Hotels have been attacked, with hostages taken. Working for HSBC, we have colleagues there, so this is very worrisome. Just when does the world decide that terrorists are like termites, they are like the Asian beetle infecting America's trees, they are like rabid animals. They also didn't make their own rifles. They didn't clothe, feed and shelter themselves for free. So, when does the people of the world deal with this insidious behavior ? We need to all band together and eradicate these people, down to the future seeds of hate if necessary. We don't safeguard the baby termites when we exterminate them. We eliminate them. When ?
	I just couldn't get my groove going over at Wordpress. Don't get me wrong, I think the tool is neat, and offers a lot of ability for the blogger community. I just couldn't get myself ignited and had a rough time managing the posts as individual 'articles' so to speak. My rants didn't flow naturally any longer, and I got hung up on other items and the overhead to categorize, apply tags, etc. And with the free blog, I couldn't do any custom work to widen the center column. I may copy what's here on a monthly basis over there, just for the portable part of it. I did like being able to load my blog into my RSS feed reader I use. And I liked the archiving capability. Either way, I'm back baby !!!
	The NYPD may be up to something with the January Academy class. Rosanne almost called the cops on a suspicious car out front yesterday, when it turned out to be the 2 investigators checking out Joe. They interviewed her and a couple of neighbors, and indicated there may in fact be a trimmed back class being planned. We certainly hope so, Joe is gonna need medical coverage.
	Our condolences go out to AT and her family. Her mom just passed away, and we offer our prayers for the family during this difficult time.

	Well, my little experiment with having my blog posts at Wordpress.com didn't work out. So, I'm back here, where my honey and LF prefer. Give me a few days to move the important posts over, and I'll be back in business. I will also explain a bit my decision to come back.
	The Bank is leasing space to a place call Kee's Chocolates. Expensive at $2.35 per piece, but very good. Checkout the menus. I had the pistachio and almond white chocolate truffles, mmm mmm good. Now, I may be getting a little cranky as I get older, but it just seems a little cheeky to see the sign mounted on the fancy marble of the bank building. If GM is dropping Tiger, how long before the pressure is on for Citibank to drop the naming rights agreement with CitiField ? I think it should be named Shea Stadium, and keep the tradition going. Liebert invited me to tour the new high density cooling and power plant they installed for the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue. The new data center is in one of the sub-cellars of the complex and is built into the old water aqueduct that was part of the reservoir that supplied NYC water. Here are some pics of the tunnels. 	Frank hurt his knee at school today. He bent down at school and something happened. It’s all swollen, needed an MRI and he’s on crutches until they review the film. More to come. He’s in a little pain, but he’s gonna do fine. Frank has done some research and thinks he has a Meniscus Tear Ouch !!!

Senator Charles Schumer, have you lost your damn mind ? So, I walk in the house this evening, and Chuck is on the tube delivering some statement in response to a Bush statement. Granted, I didn’t hear his entire statement, but I heard this part. I paraphrase - “President Bush continues to embrace this free market ideology…”

So, I have only question for Chuck, or anyone else who cares to discuss this one with me. What other ideology is Chuck supportive of ? What’s your idea here Chuck ? Anyone ? Let’s have a conversation on what other ideology we should be moving to, or aspiring to copy. Ours might need some adjustment, but it would or should continue to be a ‘free market’ system. No ? I am open to listening and considering. Are you prepared to champion another system ? Let’s hear your cohesive plan.

I find Chuck’s comments distracting and counter-productive. It perpetuates negative discourse, and avoids confronting the issue and working to resolve it with common sense checks and balances.

If you had nothing positive to say Chuck, just don’t say anything.

	Well, after 18 months, the elections are finally here. We’ve heard a lot of crap, there is tremendous emotion surrounding the many ‘firsts’ this will represent for all sorts of folks. I hope in the end, people think and vote as Americans. Americans that see through the phoniness of a person. Americans that understand sacrifice, personal accountability, individuality, potential. Americans that also understand the seamier side of life and things in general. And how some people project one image, while hiding evil intentions. I hope that we have matured beyond the pure emotional decision, and rely upon character, integrity, Americanism when voting. This is simply a vote between socialism and capitalism. Avoid color, nuance and aura. Everyone is a product of their surroundings and early influences in life, that form core philosophy and idealogy. We vote for an ideology, a way of life, a guiding light of influence. We don't vote for idolatry. There's a big difference. God Bless America !

Well, the time has come that ET has actually retired. What began as a countdown 1,200 days prior has culminated in a remarkable career with the Bank or it's service providers. We attended the benefit concert for A Leg to Stand On (ALTSO) at the Hammerstein Ballroom the other night. All the bands were awesome, but our favorite was Stonehedge with Bongo Billy. 	That Con Edison explosion the other day took the life of a fellow College Pointer. George Dillman was a friend of our older boys. In fact, he pumped our gas for many years before landing his job at Con Ed. And Craig Penney worked with them at the local Waldbaums before working for Con Edison. George is also the person who accidently drove his car over Jack's foot breaking a few bones. The family is devastated, and the town is in mourning for this loss of a fine young man.
	Have some sad news to report. BH passed away after a long illness. Our prayers are with VM and her family as they go through this very difficult time for the family.
	Most of the seats have been removed from Shea Stadium.

	Today is my dad's 72nd birthday. Happy Birthday Pop. We love you !!!

	We've been listening to T Boone Pickens and his good friend Aubrey for a couple of months now, touting the benefits to using CNG for our cars. To me, they would have been wiser to come to our country with a real business plan in hand. Tell us how you've converted both of your companies entire vehicle inventory to CNG. Tell us you've been using CNG for the past two years, so you had data to submit to us. Tell us the spending you have saved, and the impact it has had on our environment since you've converted. Tell us how easy it was for you to setup CNG refilling points at your OWN HOMES. In other words, come to us with actions, not just try to sell US on something you haven't even converted to ....
	We don't know what happened, but these undercover cops ended up confiscating this ice cream truck and drove it away.

	What did Joe Biden mean when he said that not only should we have failing homeowners mortgage RATES adjusted, but we should also adjust their PRINCIPAL ? He said it, not me, so what does it mean ? "... Number two, with regard to bankruptcy now, Gwen, what we should be doing now -- and Barack Obama and I support it -- we should be allowing bankruptcy courts to be able to re-adjust not just the interest rate you're paying on your mortgage to be able to stay in your home, but be able to adjust the principal that you owe, the principal that you owe. That would keep people in their homes, actually help banks by keeping it from going under. But John McCain, as I understand it -- I'm not sure of this, but I believe John McCain and the governor don't support that. There are ways to help people now. And there -- ways that we're offering are not being supported by -- by the Bush administration nor do I believe by John McCain and Governor Palin..."
	Gotta love that Joe Biden, he even wants to pay more taxes because it's patriotic. What a fucking phony.

	Our man in the field, ScoobyFitz was on the roof of 60 Hudson as the Intrepid headed home to it's pier on the west side. Here's a pic he took as it paused at Ground Zero to unfurl a huge US flag.
	They've begun to build the scaffolding around our landmark building on 40th and 5th. Many repairs and restoration to take place. I hear this scaffolding will be up for over a year.
	So, it's snowing on Mars. Go figure. What next, hidden caves, and intelligent life ?
