I love this kind of stuff. When is a rape not a rape ? When it's committed by someone Whoopi Goldberg likes. Liberals get all twisted when laws are applied to them. Especially when it's laws they wrote, championed, and just yesterday stood by the rape victim, no matter how long justice would take. The man drugged and raped a 13 year old girl. He plead guilty, before sentencing he fled the country. You're going down dopey.

Today also marks 2 years that my Uncle and God-father passed away. I miss you Zeke. We all do and will forever. If you visit my Family & Friends page you will see that life goes on. I've made over 50 entries on that page alone since Zeke passed on. Time marches on, but we still hurt, yet our memories get stronger, more meaningful. I wear this band each day to help me stay connected. Later Zeke. I Love You !

Today marks my birthday. I'm 52 today and another year closer to retiring. Things are pretty good. I love my wife, she still loves me, and our boys are wonderful young men. Thanks to all the family, and friends who sent along their birthday wishes. (yes Gimp, me gots friends) I do appreciate it, but still feel funny being on the receiving end.

Here is a story about 2, not 1 documents the DNC generated and had notarized when they prepared to  nominate Barry and Joe the retard for President and Vice-President. Seems one version is missing a key series of those pesky objects we call words. Words that can suggest some awareness about whether Barry Soetero is eligible to be our president. Besides the fact there are two versions, these documents can also be used as evidence AGAINST public education, because both versions spell the word 'through' wrong. Go figure. I would be very interested to see the version the DNC produced for the last election in 2004. To see which words were used then.
	Don't you find it interesting that those nightly news US serviceman death counts we used to get during the Bush administration have stopped ? The number of deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan are on the rise, he wants to increase troop levels,  but no news outlet mentions it since Dear Leader was elected. How shameful is that ? If Bush tried to add one more soldier it was a news bulletin. This guy is extending tours and adding more guys to the fight, but nary a peep from the MSM.

Well, it's been 8 years since that awful day, and it really doesn't get better. All year long it kinda feels like it's getting better, but as the days draw closer it kind of slows down again and it begins to set in. Like I said, September is a weird month for me, and this day starts it all. Do what you can, we have to get through it. We must reflect and remember the day. We have to remember the days and months after. We are New Yorkers, so it will make us slip and trip, but we'll be fine and stronger and better for it. I've always wanted to paint a mural on our roof of this 9/11 ribbon I've adopted. This weekend KM volunteered her great artistic abilities to this project and competed the ribbon and a peace sign that Ro wanted. It came out great and means so much as we approach 8 years. From my AJ, a joke about a situation I face each day at the office.

Every day, a male co-worker walks up very close to a lady standing at  the coffee machine, inhales a big breath of air and tells her that her hair smells nice.

After a week of this, she can't stand it anymore, takes her complaint to a supervisor in the personnel department and states that she wants to file a sexual harassment grievance against him.

The Human Resources supervisor is puzzled by this decision and asks, 'what's sexually threatening about a co-worker telling you your hair smells nice?'

The woman replies, 'It's Keith, the midget."
 

It's definitely a good sign that Van Jones resigned, however, I think it took too long to happen. We the People need to keep up this sort of pressure, as it does work. And kudos to Glenn Beck who paved the way for this to occur. We need to continue challenging the picks and direction that dear leader is taking us, and get that man to get back to the center.

JjLJr got his Queens College Diploma in the mail today. Congratulations son, we are very proud of you.

	Work continues on our new bocce ball courts down at Whitestone Park.
	We have an amazing amount of nature in our College Point. There's new caterpillars in our yard, and hawks down at Whitestone Park.
	All sorts of couples were down the park this weekend. Even the horseshoe crabs enjoy the beach.
	They are finally working on this old house near the Malba Circle. It's nice to see if beginning to shine and come to new life.
	BF came across this prank played on an Italian mother by her son and a radio station. I gotta tell you, it sounds familiar.

At the First Vermont Blues Festival, we got to see this great singer named Shemekia Copeland. She was from Harlem before moving to Chicago, and I even got to meet her and we gave her one of my Never Forget bracelets.

So now the crazies want to tie Ted Kennedy's death to the ObamaCare plan. Haven't you all been paying attention ? There are 2 points to be taken from Kennedy's death on this plan : Congress has been written OUT of the plan. They are NOT ALLOWED to select that plan, the plan they are trying to sell to you. Even IF they wanted it (and they really, really DON'T), they CAN'T have it. It's their law. If you think Kennedy was one of you, for you, cared for you, was equal to you ? Would you be able to shutdown Mass for a 60 mile motorcade, and get yourself all laid out in the JFK presidential Library when you die for 2 days ??? They don't own that library. Don't ever try to compare yourself to these people, no matter what they tell you. You know what you should do ? You can use Kennedy's death as the baseline to COMPARE what is in store for you, against the treatment he received. Before they scrub the news, go back two years and collect the articles. See what procedures he had, how often, how quickly they were done. See how many specialists he had working on his case. Ask if it was all necessary and meant to make him well. Ask if you can expect the exact same treatment, timing, expediency should similar or other ailments affect you or a loved one under ObamaCare. Yes, we can make use of his death, to ask real questions, with real life reference points, we can all now relate to with dear Teddy passing at this most important time in America. We the People have QUESTIONS

So, I get these Mets tix from my friends, they give 'em to someone I know, and I ain't naming names, he sends me a text, says tix are for the 24th, I say gr8, I can't go, but know who can, so we arrange for MixxieSparkles and FjL the new crooner to go, leave the tix, leave the cash, life is good, head north for the blues, mixxie and the crooner head over to new shea on monday, ticket guy says sorry charlies, these ducats were for sunday, go away, mixxie puts on the waterworks, scores better tix, with free pop and refills, cases of life water, and life is good again, we call to check, they tell us story, we say holy cow, sunday was history day with unassisted triple play, I tell someone I know, and I ain't naming names, that I got a story to tell, he says sure, you give away tix and someone else sees history, i say no way, tix were for yesterday, so no history to be seen, but 4 cases of sobe water, he says, see, it's all good !!!

	Here are the pics from our weekend in Vermont at the First Vermont Blues Festival - Aug 2009 at Mt. Snow. Great show, super performances.
	So, those CIA techniques were rough on those poor detainees huh? Perhaps we should have just thrown them out of 110 story burning buildings. Or better yet, throw their kids from the top of the burning WTC towers and let them watch. Fuck them all. Who fucking cares how we got them to talk, they talked is all that matters. I have but one question and one suggestion for the ObamaCare town halls. Question - If the public option is so good for Americans why has the bill being proposed been written to explicitly EXCLUDE every member of Congress from participating in it ? Even if they wanted this option, they couldn't get it. Suggestion - All 535 members of Congress should be the ONLY participants in this plan for 2 years. After 2 years, they should report to the American public their opinion of it, and then we will all vote for it via a referendum. This comes under the heading of Lead by Example. Until these two issues are cleared up, there is really no point in discussing anything else

If you're heading to the beach over the next week or so, be aware of the rip tides. My honey and JM got caught up in one at Jones Beach and needed help from a lifeguard to get free from it. Was scary for a bit, but a lesson learned.

Well, think again, and read this letter sent to the FDA about this device and the way certain companies are marketing it. It's illegal. It can be harmful to you, and you should not be so weak minded as to think this silly procedure would actually help you. If you don't want to smoke any more, just fucking stop. Grow the fuck up and just stop. Otherwise, just cut down smoking, count the cigs you haven't bought, and enjoy the rest of your life. Don't believe me or the letter, how about this post and this one and read this report at the FDA site Here is the FDA list of approved products for smoking cessation and there are no hokey low-level lasers listed.

	What should we make of our President lying about things at townhalls ? He used the phrase 'AARP endorsed the bill', despite the fact they haven't endorsed anything. The sheople only hear what he said then, not the facts and end up believing our leader when he is simply playing with their heads. We the People don't like to be lied to.
	I think there is a very basic question for our congressman. If the Obamacare plan is so good for Americans, why are they specifically excluded from having to use the plan ? It's only for us, not them. Shouldn't they lead by example, and adopt their own plan for 2 years, then we can see how they liked it before putting any change to a public referendum.
	You see, I think that if the Scots are going to release the Lockerbie bomber on compassionate grounds that he has prostate cancer, they should at least drop him off at the town square and let the families of the victims greet him, so they can apply some of their compassion. What say you ? I know that was a run on sentence, but there really was no other way to say it.
	We had a nice little luncheon yesterday to celebrate Jack & LJs 30 year anniversary at the Bank. Thanks for all our friends who stopped by and the many kind words we each received.
	I just love watching astronomers and scientists explain things they have never seen before, and otherwise can't account for. The shock, surprise, clear lucid speculation. So heartwarming to me, to know they have us covered. See what they say about discovering a tropical storm on Saturn's moon TItan. As we say about our new life safety director, 'we're all going to die'
	Ain't it interesting as Iraq announces it is working to ban dual-citizenship for it's top leaders ? Seems they want to ensure top leaders are 'natural born citizens'.... just like America...

	If you are a star gazer, starting tonight the annual Perseid meteor shower is expected to put on a good show all week for those willing to get up in the wee hours of the morning and wait patiently for the shooting stars. I did it last year, and it was a wonder to watch. You don't have to stay up long and you will enjoy it.
	ShR got to participate in the ringing of the closing bell at the NY Stock Exchange last week. Part of the activities around winning the CEO Award. Here's the video from the event.

The city just began work on the new bocce ball courts at Whitestone Park. Looks like there will be 2 brand new courts, set up quite nicely by next Spring.

	Walking thru the zoo, we came across what looked liked a early stage baby squirrel on the ground. We think it fell from a nest above the walk. We alerted a zoo attendant who safeguarded it. It was barely alive when we left.

	It's been 18 years since I quit smoking. At the rate I was going, it means I've avoided smoking 13,140 packs, or 262,800 cigarettes, for an approximate cost of ~$91,980. I should have banked all this cash.

	Ro and I enjoyed a very nice lunch and afternoon with Zelda. No one believes she's turning 99 in December.

	Had a good time at Jones Beach the other day with my Bro and his family.

Today marks 30 years that I started working at Republic National Bank (now HSBC). I started out as a 3rd shift operator, working alone on weekends and holidays and worked my tail off for the company to rise to where I am today. It's been quite an experience and one that I am quite proud of. I think I've done well for the company, and for my team of professionals. Congratulations to me on this major accomplishment... And thank you to my beautiful bride, Rosanne, who encouraged me, pushed me, let me whiteboard ideas and for just putting up with me through the years. (I'm still the world's best putterupperer...)

	I had one of those extremely rare bouts of creativity this weekend, accompanied by intense manual labor. I built a replacement wooden flower box for the front of the house. I think I did pretty good, considering I don't do too much tool work. Jack builds a flower box.

This Professor has it right. Great experiment.

An economics professor at a local college (not Berkley) made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D and no one was happy!

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

	Check this story out. It seems that Obama had 17 outstanding parking tickets dating back to 1989-1991. From where you ask ? Well, from Cambridge, MA of course. And here's the best part. He didn't pay them until weeks before announcing his candidacy for president.

	Barry's lies just keep getting better. Where is the media doing their job ? How can he remember the Apollo capsules splashing down in the Pacific while living in Hawaii, when he was living in Indonesia those years ?
	So, in one sentence during his press conference, Barry stated he didn't know all the facts about why that black scholar was arrested, but he still had to opine - Police acted "stupidly" arresting black scholar. He was arrested for acting like a retard when the cop was only trying to help. Resist that urge to speak, unless and until you have more information. It's like shooting pool, resist the urge to hit the ball too hard. Soft shots run the table.
	We the people insist that any bill Congress passes, applies to all members of Congress too. Otherwise, what sort of government would we have if laws and bills didn't apply to the chosen elite of Congress.

	Here's an enlightening article by Joe Farah about just 2 of Barry's latest unconstitutional czars - Obama's radical, anti-American czars , One of these guys even advocated a global police force to keep population down. And they said Dubya was a fascist.
	Scooby sends us this link regarding a new bill making it's way through Congress, H.R. 45. If it passes, gun ownership will be impacted and extremely impaired. Not a good sign for our liberties.
	Scooby gives us a nice read on the state of Data Centers these days. I can see some big changes in our future. Pages 4 and 5 are quite interesting.
	Scooby's got a beef, and he ain't afraid to express himself. That was no way to find out about Emerson's latest news -  Emerson's New State-of-the-Art, Energy-Efficient Data Centers. Here's a very interesting story about that hospital in Hawaii that 'claims' they got a letter from our 'President' that states he was born there. They show the letter and all on their site. Trouble is, it ain't an image of the letter. It's html code made up to 'recreate' the letter. Is the letter a fake ? Everyone else thought he was born at the other hospital on the island. None of this would matter if he would just do like Ro had to do to renew her license, and show us his damn long form birth certificate. I wonder if he wrote about the place of his birth in any of his 2 books....

JaL graduated from the New York City Police Academy today. Very nice ceremony. Poignant words by Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner Kelly. I believe he is the first Leone or Albanese to become a police officer. We are certainly proud of JaL as he continues to pursue his goals in life. We wish him luck as he begins this new phase of his career. We know how much this means to you, and we will always be there to support you, encourage you and to remind you to always be honorable as you go about policing this fine city. It will be challenging and rewarding. Your mom and I will always be worried about you, yet comforted in knowing that our son is out there helping all New Yorkers, every hour, every day. We are all part of a much larger family now and we look forward to sharing this experience with you. Be safe out there son. I Love You !!!

	When Helen Thomas wakes up at a press conference and laces into the press secretary, you know things are starting to get unglued for the anointed one. Just watch that mary, Robert Gibbs squirm, about not having an answer because he didn't know she was going to ask a question. It's beautiful, and makes her point best. Ain't a free press great when one party doesn't know the question ahead of time ???? I guess to illegal aliens this guys is amazing, but to us redneck americans, he's a putz.
	It sounds to me like Honduras was exercising a fast-track impeachment of it's president. Barry should take the same approach he did with Iran. Stay out of the internal politics of another country. I think what worries old Barry and the progressives is how the Honduran people exercised their constitutional rights.... We might do well to review the approach they took.
	Another liberal celebrity croaked. Karl Malden is dead at 97. And the guy from Fargo, Harve Presnell died at 75. I'd start worrying if I carried a SAG card. I bet Patrick Swayze is shitting bullets.
