Congratulations to me, as I reach 31 years at the bank. Boy have things and I changed in all that time. I am quite proud of the organization we have, and have fond memories of the years.
I have this beautiful set of PEZ porcelain hinged box dispensers.
Checkout this beautiful red Chevelle we came across today.
We had a nice time at Jones Beach today. Me and my brothers were all together.
We even got to see a bunch of dolphins in the water this afternoon. How cool is that ?
I'm sorry, but I do still miss Dubya. Tell the truth, don't you ???
Checkout the new city website at the DEP that allows you to track your water usage by the day or hour. Prettyslick information provided.
When we went to Sandy Hook, we lucked out and had a room with a view of Manhattan.

We met old friend PM, who owns Cafe Al Dente.
Was away for a few days. We went to the Jersey shore and also to the Annual FirstTech Day At the Races at Monmouth Park Racetrack. Had a real good time. We even managed to get to the Sandy Hook lighthouse. Sandy Hook lighthouse & FirstTech Day At the Races
Congrats to my brother NL and his wife. They just bought their first new car. Enjoy it, it's a real nice ride.
It was moving day for the crew on 1w6. Headed to 21 then back to 6 where there will be twice as many people. As always, the HTSN crew will make the best of it.
As I scavenged around during the move, I came across an abandoned Geiger counter. This will DEFINITELY come in handy in the near future.
It is a pretty view from 21 floors up.
Went to Rockefeller Center area the other day, here are a bunch of nice pics I took.
I had to swap out flags for my folks the other day.
Here's another one of my father's drawings. Isn't it wonderful ?
Hey, I thought there aren't supposed to be planes flying down Fifth Avenue any more ???
Newly retired GB, from Buffalo, checks in with this simple video from Pat Condell, with his views on that Ground Zero mosque plan. "Is it possible to be astonished, but not surprised ?"
I couldn't get the DOT to put up a children at play sign on our block, but here we have a turtle crossing sign.... Now we know where priorities are these days ...
Happy Birthday to my beautiful God-daughter and niece, DjH. I Love You !!!
Continued prayers for my friend and colleague, JpL. Condition is critical, but all are hopeful for improvement.
We had a busy weekend. On Saturday we saw Bongo Billy and Crossing Streams @Lloyd's Neck Beach Club, out on the Island. They put on a great show, and sounded real tight.
We were able to visit Old Bethpage Village Restoration - July 2010 on Sunday. There are a variety of old homes, rebuilt and on display. In addition, the folks there are dressed in period clothes, and perform all sorts of activities of the time. There is even a working farm. The town was setup to be around the Civil War period, and there are Union and Confederate troops walking around. We even met President Lincoln, while there. My main attraction was the Lawrence House. This house was built around 1820. It was the house next to us when we lived on 129th street in College Point. I even have one of the wooden pegs that was used as nails back then. The home is still under reconstruction, but when we told the soldier about our history, he walked us through the entire home.
The Big Guy WFP, sends in this amazing video of a card trick out of Japan. WOW !!!
File this under the heading of irony - that EMT who ignored the dying woman, was shot and killed - Bad Kharma comes around ... just ask Edmund Safra
Happy Birthday to my cousin, LF. Enjoy your special day, I love you !!!
To celebrate KM becoming a nurse, we have this wonderful poem by my friend, retired Navy Lt. JgA - Don't Understand Nurses
This guy picks up the days worth of change for his business every day. In this economy, he should be more discrete, before someone knocks him off....
At some point the company that bought the building will realize they need to change the special landmarks signage, so it reflects the new owners. This shot will become a distant memory some day. It used to say Republic National Bank until 2000.
Saw the Rockettes the other day at Bryant Park. They looked great...
Here's a nice shot of the Grace building, framed by the Bryant Park trees.
Where else but NYC can you get free cappuccino and espresso just walking down the street ...
We spotted our handsome son, FjL at his place of employment. Isn't that SS Linds, where his mom used to work a few years back ???
Construction on Tower 7 proceeds. They have already begun placing walls.
The new air traffic control tower at LaGuardia is huge, compared to the old one.
That beautiful door we hang out at during the winter months is also one of our fire exit doors. It got used the other day during our annual evacuation drill.
I found this guy on my pants, I must have picked him up at Bryant Park, when I walked thru it. Took him home, and gave him to Ro. She looked it up, he turns into a moth that feeds on trees, and is considered a nasty pest. So, he's no longer with us, he went for a swim in the pool...
I know, this is a lot of posts for one day, but I was 'backed-up'. I even got a load of great new images of the newest butterfly that hatched. I'll get to them later on. We still have around 7 more to hatch very soon ...
There are 643 Quadrillion gallons (643,000,000,000,000,000) in the Gulf of Mexico. Assume worst case thus far of 180,000,000 million gallons of oil has been leaked into it. This amounts to 0.00000000279938%. To put it in simpler terms, it is almost twice as much as 1 drop from an eyedropper of oil in my 4 foot pool that holds 3,385 gallons. Isn't it interesting that during the Bush years the media dutifully reported the number of dead US soldiers every week. Now that Barry the Socialist is our fearsome leader, the media seems to neglect reporting that all important data. Do you wonder why ? It's because in Barry's short 1.5 years so far, US soldier deaths are equal to the total of ALL 8 of the Bush years. Perhaps if we let our soldiers fire back and kill the bad guys, the numbers wouldn't be so damn high.
Our nephew, VA turns 30 today. A fine young man he be. Congrats and Happy Birthday !!!
Our dear friend and colleague, JpL is recovering from Surgery. We pray for a quick recovery.
Got my newest PEZ today - Chuck E Cheese
TR asks the question -
Remember when Ronald Reagan was president ? At that time, we also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash.
Now, we have Obama and no hope and no cash
Now these 2 idiots deserve some respect. They hate Americans, and trained and went overseas to fight our soldiers. At least they weren't cowards who instead blow up trains, planes, markets, babies, movie theaters, markets. Go fight a soldier, if you consider yourself a soldier.
Ouch ! This has to hurt. Consumer Reports 'can't recommend' new iPhone

Our first butterfly emerged, and she is a beautiful one. The others won't be far behind.
We gave out a bunch of cocoons all ready to turn into butterflies. This bunch was for the guys at work, to enjoy with their kids.

I never made it down in time to get my own pics, but I heard we had a bunch of Greenpeace monkeys protesting in front of the building the other day. Here is a recent story of their monkey business at a couple of other bank locations.
DpF did good today and his recuperating. Great news my friend, now rest up and get better.
Good luck to DpF today, as he goes under the knife today to deal with a diverticulitis problem.

Had a very nice dinner this weekend with my parents and Zelda for Father's day.
Who is Albertson Soccér ??? and why do I keep getting his photo sent to me ????
SV paid a visit to meet with the business after a spate of recent outages. It was good seeing our old friend.
One of my favorite gurls from Evergreen, K is leaving soon. We wish her well and hope to see her soon. when she visits the old gang. Be sure you visit on a Friday ... :-)
They started construction on one of the floors we were on. Here's what the old place looks like now as they get ready to tear things down.
Believe it or not, our 2nd data center occupied this same space back in the late 80's and early 90's. This is like the 3rd time the space is being redone since we moved the data center to Jersey City.
Checkout the damage that storm did to this tree and car in Whitestone. This tree was completely hollow. Must have been infested with the asian beetle, which weakened it.

Looks like Barry came to his senses and calls Gaza flotillas 'irresponsible'
Is there a connection between the Gulf oil spill and the hand of God ?
Checkout this old commercial for Winston cigarettes, using the Flintstones.... Now, you have to be 18 to even buy cigarettes.
Had a little fun today at the job. Took a tractor trailer over 2 hours to pull into one of the loading docks this morning. Tied up both vehicle and pedestrian traffic on both sides of the street ...
Here's an interesting article about what Barry knew and when about the BP well. Interesting connection to Iran as well. Obama Administration Knew About Deepwater Horizon 35,000 Feet Well Bore
This doesn't look good. It's raining oil in parts of Louisiana. What happens when a hurricane brings in all of that top layer of water out there onto land ??? And hurricane season hasn't started yet. We be screwed.
Interesting story behind the resignation of Gen McChrystal. Don't get me wrong, he had to go. What he did was wrong. But is he a stupid, ignorant man ? No, he did it for a purpose. We should all pause and reflect on what would make a man like this, take this rare, extraordinary action ? Remember, he is sworn to defend the constitution against ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. Presidents come and go, America must prevail. He is beholden to WE THE PEOPLE before anyone like The One.
As we approach 9 years since 9/11, 72 more remains of people have been found at the site. We must Never Forget !!!
Congrats to KP, on her new job at LIJ/North Shore. Good luck !!!
Hey guys, thanks for all your efforts in decommissioning all that hardware. We appreciate all your time coordinating the demise and physical removal of the equipment.
It's too bad that Gen. Stanley McChrystal didn't speak out 2 years ago when Dubya was President. Had he then, instead of now, he would be a national hero speaking his mind....
It was so hot yesterday, I caught the sun catching some shade....
It looks like they may be finally replacing that shoeshine stand at the NY Public Library.
Jim Courier and Monica Seles also paid a visit to our lobby to meet with employees.
KC, Scooby and me all had our pics taken with the Wimbledon trophy and had our strawberries and cream to snack on.

The MTA had their own little oil spill the other day in front of the Library on 5th avenue.
What's with FOX News ? It seems there are more and more spelling mistakes being made. Don't they use a spellchekcer ???
I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried. From KimmiPoo, a not so PC image provided to us at the World Cup, when Nigeria faced off against Germany...
You gotta love the government. Now they plan to sue Arizona for enforcing Federal laws. Only in America can laws be written that aren't enforced, if you are one of the 'special' groups.
FBI raided house on the block. Ended up as a mixup with names. Agents were very apologetic, and came over to us. They wanted us to know and to pass along that it was a mistake and the people there are fine.
There's an update to the Things to be Mindful Of list, it's meant to be
We had a lot of excitement on the block last night. The FBI raided a house across the street, assault rifles and threats to break the door down. Thankfully, it was the wrong location. They came over to tell us there was a mix-up and the people there are good people... we knew that already. They scared the crap out of them and the 2 little boys who live there.
Having a problem with 'coons in the yard. They are tearing up the garden and lawn looking for something. Got my BB rifle all loaded, and ready to sniper the buggers. Caught one of the babies the other day, it's me 1, them 0
We just installed new patio block in the front of our house, and are planning new sod soon. How's it coming along ?

It looks like we are going to have an early crop of butterflies this year. We already have eggs and baby caterpillars on the fennel bush.
Here's a nice image of Patience, one of our New York Library lions. On the north side is Fortitude, her brother.
My Bro stopped over the other day, to show off his new ride & lovely honey. Frankie V 'slipped' on the pool ladder (I helped him) and ended up in the pool. Hey it happens around us a lot.
Parking is so tough in NYC, how tough is it ? They even tow scooters off the streets, that's how tough...
ScoobyFitz made it to the volcano, and even got himself a piece of lava from the flow. Way to go young man, be safe, and have fun.
Frankie J graduated Holy Cross High School today. Where has the time gone ? I can recall the day he started like it was yesterday. Look at this photo showing the difference. Time surely does go by fast. Our baby has just finished high school. You are a remarkable young man Frank. Your mother and I are very proud of you. You've matured into a fine young man, with compassion, understanding and love in your heart. You have always achieved the goals you have set for yourself, and pursued them with passion and energy. Your special bond with your mother is what makes you the special person you are. Always trust her and confide in her and you will be fine. We are excited for you as you begin the next chapter in your life. We can't wait to see what lies ahead for you. In the fall Frank starts John Jay College and we know he will excel at what he does. I don't know. As a part owner of GM, and with them being bankrupt and all, should we be just giving away Corvettes ? It's not like they are a private company any longer ...
Happy Birthday to my brudder NL. We love you and hope you enjoy your special day today.
NEVER MIND, they caught the fucker. Either way, he's in deep shit.
Would have been better if he was dead already, but he'll probably be dead
soon.... Here's a news report I hope is true (it's not).
Rosanne and I visited the USS Iwo Jima on Memorial Day. We took some great pics. As I work on getting them uploaded, I wanted to post this pic of one fine young Marine we met on the deck. Thank you young man for your service and the time you spent chatting with us. Your country is proud of you.
The Big Guy WfP sends in this funny strip. Always listen to your mom, and don't yell across the house.

Here are some great pics taken by Rosanne at the Bon Jovi Concert - May 2010 at the new Meadowlands Stadium.
So Barry spends all day thinking about how to plug that leak in the Gulf, huh ? Why won't he release an official photo of him doing that ? I'd like to see that image ? Probably sits there, watches the BP video feed and scratches his head all day long.
From EP, this is why Philip Morris doesn't give a shit of Americans stop smoking, They have a whole new target audience overseas. Though I doubt they will spend $10 bucks a pack....
From DF, a reminder of our 'drug' problems from the early days.
Wonderful, Feds Issue Terror Watch for the Texas/Mexico Border - they think there are over 200 crazy Somalis who are spread out across the country. What do you suppose they are up to ?
Mario Andretti was at Macy's today with the Indy 500 pace car. Not sure who the young lady is, but it's not Danica Patrick
Hey Mom, I saw Elvis today on 38th street.
Congratulations to KM. She just graduated Cum Laude from Adelphi University. Great job, all that hard work has paid off nicely.
Have you seen that wobbly bridge in Russia ? Yikes.
I say start the impeachment hearings. If this story is true, Barry may have violated some federal laws trying to bribe Sestak not to run against that scumbag Specter.
This is how disinformation gets out there, and people get distracted. Bubba is talking against the so called 'birthers'. He misses the mark, or is intentionally diverting attention to the most relevant aspect of Barry the Socialist's eligibility to be president. It ain't about being born in Hawaii. It's about not having 2 parents who were US citizens that disqualifies him. It's real simple, but the sheople are buying the bullshit for now. It won't last, we the people are coming to take our country back... One state at a time if need be.
Here's a bunch of pics taken by Ro and JjLJr. from their Disneyland Vacation - May 2010.
A reminder ; "natural born Citizen" = At moment of birth, born on US soil to parents who are US citizens. The wheels of a big organization turn slowly, but turn they do .... tick, tick, tick - Remember in November.
You know, we've been getting hammered a lot lately overseas. We certainly don't need more bad press out of the skanky Duchess of York now.
Everyone is home and accounted for. Life can go back to normal.
The broom is at 3,000ft. My honey is almost home.
Some people can't catch a break. JaL and KM had various delays getting to the Bahamas. Now it looks like their journey home is already being delayed and it's hours before the flight
The crew is headed home. Should all be back in place by dinner.... can't wait to hug my honey.
At least some people care about me. Had dinner with my folks and brother and wife. Love having pancakes for dinner.
Sometimes I wish I was a squirrel. This guy was just up a tree down the park chillin....
Here's an update of that infamous belly shot. Things are getting better, but it looks strangely familiar ...
JtF stopped by and visited his old man at work the other day.
Came across our friend CM out front on 5th the other day, our recent Life Safety director. I still say, 'we're all gonna die', but do miss this bastard.
So long as Mexico's President disagrees with the new Arizona law, I am confident the law is now the best thing to happen. It's a lot like voting opposite Al Sharpton. You can't go wrong.... Go Arizona !!!
Everyone made it to where they wuz going, some later than they hoped and planned, but there now, so chill all, and enjoy
Here's a nice pic of my favorite nephew, FvL in his baseball uniform.

Every once in a while DnC sends in a real good photo. Here's the best so far. How to tell if your ass smells.
I can always tell the commute home is going to be bad when I see firemen exiting the station as I am coming in.
Always amazes me the people that end up on the reality court TV shows. Look who made it to Judge Joe Brown.
We came across DA and GD at Home Depot the other day. Everyone was out buying flowers.
Me and Ro broke in the new bocce ball courts at Whitestone Park. The courts are nice.

Here are a few images from the weekend.
What exactly are large submerged oil plumes, 10 miles long ?
"Oil from a blown-out well is forming huge underwater plumes as much as 10 miles long below the visible slick in the Gulf of Mexico ..."
Here's the prom pic I made for Frank's Holy Cross High School Prom night.
She's home - Jessica completed her journey !!! Congratulations young lady, you are truly an inspiration to all.
"People don't think you're capable of these things — they don't realize what young people, what 16-year-olds and girls are capable of," Watson told the raucous crowd.
From JpL, down Florida way, the Italian wedding test
I was a very happy man. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me...It was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight mini skirts, and generally was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate. Because she never did it when she was near anyone else.
One day her 'little' sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. She said, 'I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me.' I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, then turned and made a beeline straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car.
Lord... And behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me and said, 'We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family.'
And the moral of this story is:
Always keep your condoms in your car.
I think our Attorney General Eric Holder has a lot of damn gall talking about the new Arizona immigration law. He has been everywhere expressing his opinion of the law, yet the little rat hasn't even READ the 10 lousy pages that it is. Didn't Barry do that too, when someone busted his friend, the crazy professor ? 10 pages, yet everyone mimics the views expressed by this SOB as if he was coming from an informed position. Shameful, corrupt, inept, IMPEACH. 10 pages.
The shuttle Atlantis blasts off today, for the final voyage of the space shuttle fleet. Godspeed !!!
Frank had his high school prom last night, and they had a great time. The young men and women were dressed sharply and the limo was not pink, much to their relief.
My camera takes great macro photos. Here's another good one of one of our flowers.
ScoobyFitz celebrates a birthday today. Here he is chilling on his perch. Happy Birthday young man.
We had lunch with some of the old Factors crew. It was nice getting all these friends together.
I've never tried the stuff, but these chicks are riding around in a Red Bull car, handing out samples.
I like juggling, wish I could do it. Here's 2 guys juggling at Bryant Park.
Here's a fresh, new, up and coming street rapper, simply called NY$E. I have a few of his CDs, and Frank thinks he is pretty good.
It's hard to believe, but it's been 8 years since our psychotic bus driver, RC passed away. You are missed and remembered my friend.
Here's an interesting story. It seems Barry has a Social Security number generated out of Connecticut , although he was never living there. The mystery deepens over who he may really be...
Happy Mothers Day to all you Mom's out there. I love you all !!!
We were at Carmines in Times Square Friday for NMs lunch. When we left, TS was closed again for this cooler scare.... It's gonna be a long summer season in NYC.
On the plus side, I got a chance to take a few pics of the Naked Cowboy for all the mom's out there. So, here they are, enjoy...
So much for the lone wolf terrorist attack on Times Square. Now our government states that the Paksitani Taliban were behind it. So, I guess our president and mayor were wrong, as was most everyone else on the wrong side of life.
I came across this pic of our landmark Knox building from 1916. Look how both 40th and 5th avenue were both 2 way, and the darn horses.
We were going to take the HSBC cab to Carmines for NM's lunch, but the cabbie didn't have room for 8 ...
Mailman just came, delivered my newest PEZ. NY Yankees 27th World Series PEZ. Thanks Nick !!!
Frank has his senior prom coming up next week. I told him that I'd take care of the limo. Here's the one he'll be using that night.
Here's an interesting shot of the Whitestone Bridge, as seen in my rear view mirror.
Just finished putting in new Andersen windows on the back of the house. It's looking real nice now.
There was a commotion out front the other night. Seems 3 undercover vehicles arrested some young kid right out front.
The new bocce ball courts at Whitestone Park have been opened. The old-timers are in their glory enjoying the new courts.
Checkout the new Snow White and the 7 dwarves PEZ set coming out soon. Hope the midgets don't complain...
I don't get it. Why is everyone in government and the administration all chanting the same rubbish that the Times Square bomber acted alone ? If he acted alone, why are they also looking for his money man ? Why are they looking for the others who he had contact with in Pakistan ? He told us he went there for bomb training classes. Is that someone who acted alone, or had help ?? If they aren't part of the investigation, why the fuck are they saying anything at all ??? Why is it so important the he acted alone ? Don't want to point the finger at the religion of peace, perhaps ? As RR used to say all the time, it is what it is. They even have Gen Petraeus parroting this bullshit, and I used to respect him....
So, when Michelle Obama calls her husband a Kenyan, what exactly does she mean ? Is he an American of Kenyan descent, or is he a Kenyan, pretending to be an American ? I wonder .... tick, tick, tick ...
Right after the Time Square bomb scare, the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility. Now, suddenly they had nothing to do with it. Must be a religion of peace thing. liars, pussies, you know bullshit artists... psst, do you hear that silence overhead ? it's one of our Predator drones coming to say hello.... assholes
The group on Thursday reversed that earlier position, with one spokesman saying the Pakistani Taliban had nothing to do with the attempted bombing, but adding: "Such attacks are welcome."
Ya gotta love the way Ann Coulter explains things. And as she says, the NYPD can't be everyplace.
Here's an amazing video submitted by EP. It's of a hero dog, dragging a hurt dog to safety across a highway. Now, I think we've been throwing around the hero word a little too easily these days, but this damn dog is a hero. When the dogs begin acting like this, and the humans kill each other, the end must be near.
From TR, a paradigm shift in airport security methodology. I thinks it's a brilliant idea. Write your congressman.
Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports;
Have a booth that you can step into that will not
X-ray you, but rather will detonate any explosive device you may have on you.
It would be a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this crap about
racial profiling and this method would eliminate a long and expensive trial.
Justice would be quick and swift. Case Closed!
This is so simple that it's brilliant.
I can see it now: you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion.
Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system:
"Attention standby passengers: we now have a seat available on flight number..."
This is for you baby. A flower garden, just for you. Use your mouse to plant your garden and have the speakers on. I love you !!!
We caught one of our brave NY democrats on TV, getting tough on the no-fly list process. This should comfort all Americans. Listen to what she actually says. Nita Lowey trashes US Constitution
Happy Birthday to the Gimp, with a happy Cinco de Mayo to go along with it....
We can call ourselves lucky all we want with this Times Square bomb. Are New Yorkers, or Americans prepared for the day a bus blows up on the streets of our city ? Just a matter of time before one of these retards straps on the vests that seem to work and gets on a bus or subway. I don't have the answers, but I am pretty sure that being PC with the religion of peace ain't part of the solution. I also don't think reading them their Miranda rights will work either. We need swift, military tribunals, with just as swift executions to put a stop to this. There should be 3-6 months between arrest, tribunal, and execution to send a message that we won't tolerate this shit. If the charge is terrorism, we need a quick path to justice. Think of it as fast-tracking jihadi justice.
Here's a stunning report from CBS News. Copy Machines, A Security Risk ? I think so...
