Not that I'm bragging, but with the 2013 NYC Marathon underway, I thought I'd bring out a vintage photo from 1996, when I won the 1996 NYC Marathon. I ran under my Italian name Giacomo Leone, and had a final time of 2:09:54. Of course, it takes me that long now just to pee ... ;-)

Ro has a new place to go to to get her skates cut. Same guy, just setup shop in Oyster Bay area now.

Oyster Bay has a real neat skating park for the kids to use bikes, skateboards, roller-blades, etc.

Today also marks 20 years of service for Mr. DjC. I've worked with Don for the entire time, and although he can be a real motherfucker, he's customer oriented, understands how to run a redundant, resilient, critical environment to support a high volume global network trading environment and works with you to find the right balance, and will evetually get you to DO WHAT HE WANTS !!! But really, there's no one else you want on your side, supporting you, as you support him, as we support the customers ... Congratulations my friend !!!

I thought Leone Lane was only down my basement, until A1 spotted a real John Leone Way street sign in that stepchild borough we call Staten Island. And if she didn't have to pay a $zillion dollar parking ticket fines, she never would have had to cross against the green light to discover it ... And the dude was a NYS Supreme Court Judge to boot ...

I wrote a letter to Sister Joan, the principal of St. Agnes High School, regarding this building across the street from them. It is vandalized often with graffiti. I suggested they commission a mural for the local kids to paint, to discourage further vandalism. I even provided a mockup example. It's either that or re-paint it every day they graffiti it. Father Arthur did that with a wall near St. Fidelis, and it has been respected for years. The mural is pleasant to look at and reflects the diversity of our town. She declined, but I passed by the other day, and it's been painted over, with these stencils on it. Let's see if this works. I think it's a great candidate for a mural. What you think.
